Sundar C’s Thalainagaram 2 Trailer: Promises To Be A Grisly Crime Drama!

After a long time as a storyteller Sundar C returned as an actor in the crime thriller Pattampoochi which hit the theaters under the direction of Badri with actors Jai and Honey Rose as the leads. The entertainer did not live up to the expectations of the audience. Thus, it could not draw many footfalls to the theaters. The Veerappu actor has now put that behind him, and is gearing up for the release of his next drama titled Thalainagaram 2. Actress Palak Lalwani has essayed the female lead role. Storyteller V. Z. Dhorai has written and helmed the movie. The project which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony a while back, is now wrapped, and is currently in the post production stage getting refined for release.

Now, the production unit has released the trailer of the flick on social media. Taking to their official twitter handle, Saregama South dropped a poster from the drama along with a link to the trailer of Thalainagaram 2, and wrote, “Presenting Sundar C’s action packed Thalainagaram 2 trailer. Right back.” Here is the post made by the production unit.

Nearly three minutes of trailer cut opens to a bird’s eye view shot of a convoy. Then we have the intro of actor Sunder C who mouths, “Earlier there were 12 murder cases, and 8 attempted murder cases to my name. Nothing got convicted.” Then the trailer presents us with a series of gruesome crimes. It ends with the actor enouncing, “Back then if someone takes a swing at me, I will not consider whether he is a cop or not, I would chop off his hand, and go about my business.” The trailer has gone viral on social media, and has clocked over a million views. Actor Sundar C plays the same character of Right that he portrayed in the first part. The production house is eyeing to bring the film to the theaters next month. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected to be made in the coming days.

The first installment of Thalainagaram was released back in the year 2006 under Suraj’s directorial. It had actor Sundar C in the role of a henchman who seeks to put his criminal life behind, and tries to build a life as a normal person. The entertainer which was released as an underdog flick received critical acclamations, and went on to be a commercially successful venture. Nearly 16 years later, we have a sequel for it. Apart from actors Sundar C, and Palak Lalwani, the casting division of the drama has actors Thambi Ramaiah, Ravi Maria, Prabhakar of Baahubali fame, Aayira, Jaise Jose, Vishal Rajan, Seran Raj, and Gopi Gpr portraying various other supporting parts. Music director Ghibran has handled musical instruments for the movie. Cinematographer E Krishnasamy has been behind camera for the film. Editor Sudharshan has been brought on board to edit the project. Master Don Ashok has choreographed action blocks for the flick. Art director A. K. Muthu has designed the background for the drama. The entertainer is bankrolled by director V. Z. Dhorai himself along with S. M. Prabhakaran under the production company Right Eye Theaters.

On the work front, actor Sundar C who was last seen on screens in the psychological crime thriller Pattampoochi is currently busy with One 2 One crafted by story teller K Thirugnanam in which he will be collaborating with actress Ragini Dwivedi, and for Aranmanai 4 under his own direction in which he will be sharing screen space with actresses Tamannaah Bhatia and Rashi Khanna.
