Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Yashoda Trailer: Hints At Edge Of The Seat Action Thriller!

Lately actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been picking bold and strong characters out of her sudden desire to try something different. The Baana Kaathadi actress was last seen on screens in the romantic comedy drama Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal which hit the screens under the direction of story teller Vignesh Shivan with actors Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in the lead roles. The movie fell flat in the box office. The actress has now moved on, and is now gearing up for the release of her upcoming science fiction project christened Yashoda. Film makers Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan have helmed the flick. Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan will be playing a key role in the entertainer. 

The production house had unveiled the teaser of the movie last month which enjoyed a great reception among the audience, and has clocked millions of views till date. Now, the production team has dropped the trailer of the flick on social media. Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu herself has shared the trailer. Taking to her official twitter account the actress shared the trailer of Yashoda, and wrote, “The first time I heard this script it gave me chills… I hope you experience the same!! 11-11-2022. YashodaTrailer!” Here is the post made by the actress.

The two-minute odd trailer opens with an aerial view with the voiceover of Samantha’s character asking, “Have you even felt two hearts beating inside you? Only a woman who is pregnant can feel it.” Following it we see actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in a doctor’s character telling Samantha that her baby is going to grow up either in a billionaire or VIP’s house, and that she has a responsibility to ensure the baby is healthy. Then, we have a glimpse of romance, where Unni Mukundan who also plays a doctor enquiries Samantha whether she is married. To which she responds that she is waiting for a nice guy. In the middle of the trailer, a character informs Samantha that celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Karan Johar, Shilpa Shetty, and Sunny Leone are all surrogate parents. The trailer ends with giving us the serious facet of the flick. 

Yashoda is slated to hit the theaters on 11th of November this year. The flick will be released in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and kannada. Earlier, speaking about the film to a leading media house, director Hari Shankar had revealed that actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen performing high octane action sequences in Yashoda. As he stated, in the trailer we get a scene of the actress doing a fast-paced stunt piece. Hollywood stunt man Yannick Ben has been roped in to choreograph the action sequences. The aficionados of the actress would be excited to watch her performing hardcore action moves. 

Besides actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Unni Mukundan, Yashoda has actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar playing a vital role. The ensemble cast of the entertainer has actors Sampath Raj, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, Priyanka Sharma, Kavya Chaulagain, Praveen Dacharam, Preethi Asrani, Rajiv Kumar Aneja, Mayank Parakh, and Ronith Grg essaying various other supporting roles. Music director Mani Sharma has composed the music for the drama. The cinematography division of the flick is handled by cinematographer M. Sukumar. Editor Marthand K. Venkatesh has trimmed the movie. The entertainer is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the production house Sridevi Movies. 

On the work front, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu who had her last outing in Tamil in the romedy drama Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal is currently busy shooting for her upcoming Telugu venture christened Kushi directed by storyteller Shiva Nirvana in which she will be seen alongside actor Vijay Devarakonda. Besides this project, the actress has her Telugu project titled Shaakuntalam scripted by filmmaker Gunasekhar in the post production getting fine-tuned for release.
