Rio Raj’s Ram In Leela Trailer: After Dusk, An Amusing Chaos Ensues As A Woman’s Dual Nature Takes The Wheel!

Actor Rio Raj last graced the silver screens in the romantic comedy movie Aan Paavam Pollathathu created by Kalaiarasan Thangavel with actress Malavika Manoj as female lead. The Joe actor will soon have his next release in the romantic comedy film christened Ram In Leela. Debutant story teller Ramachandran Kannan, who previously helmed the short film Pinju Ullam, has directed the venture. 

He has worked with writer Aakash Poojith to build the plot of the flick. Actress Vartika Jain, who starred in the English short Welcome To Celibacy Club, will make her Kollywood debut as a leading lady in this venture. Ram In Leela is all set to release in theaters worldwide on 21st of August. The production house had recently released a single from the flick on social media. They have now dropped the trailer of the drama. 

Taking to his official X timeline, actor Rio Raj shared a special poster along with a link to the trailer of Ram In Leela and wrote, “Meet the madness, match the mood. Ram In Leela official trailer OUT NOW. The two minutes odd trailer of Ram In Leela begins with a shot of actor Rio Raj asking, “Is getting married really that easy? A salary of one lakh rupees, a good family, own house, own car, a full head of hair, no beer belly, and a solid bank balance. Is having all this enough? No. No! Do you even know the kind of questions they ask?” Then we have jump cuts of individuals asking a range of bizarre questions during the alliance seeking process. 

Following which Rio Raj’s mother says, “I gave birth to my son well and I have raised him well. God watches over children in every single home, but he just closes his eyes when it comes to mine.” The scene cuts to actress Nayana Elza asking him, “Shall we smoke weed?” He responds, “They do not use it in my home.” We then have the intro of actress Vartika Jain who meets Rio Raj in a train. 

Subsequently, Rio Raj’s friend tells him, “You just saw that girl on the train today. The second you saw her, you came running to me saying, this is it, she is my future! Then hurry up, talk it out, seal the deal, and get married already!” Then we witness Rio Raj struggling to propose his love to Vartika Jain. But she accepts his proposal even before he completes it. 

In a scene Rio Raj confronts Vartika Jain, “No one has ever seen you past six o’clock. Nobody knows where you go or what you do.” Then a character tells Rio Raj about her, “She has been following me everywhere for a long time. And when I asked her why, she said she is in love with me.” Later, in a shot set at a hospital he claims, “I have been cheated. A girl cheated me, doctor.” The trailer ends with Vartika Jain telling Rio Raj, “I did not do anything on purpose. Everything I did, I did it just for you.” 

The casting team of Ram In Leela also includes actors Nayana Elza, Chetan, Malavika Avinash, Munishkanth, Ma Ka Pa, Balaji Thiyagaraajan Dayalan, Nagaichuvaigal Vetri, Super Subbarayan, Deepa Venkat, Adhiyaman, Priyanka Nair, Thaafiya Abu, Malavika Mohan, and Kavinn. 

Malayalam music director Ankit Menon has handled musical instruments for the entertainer. Two songs ‘Yaar Yaarival’ sung by Sid Sriram lyrics inked by Mohan Rajan, and ‘Seppu Sela’ crooned by V M Mahalingam lyrics penned by Uma Devi, are out from the album. 

Cinematographer Mallika Arjun has cranked the camera for the flick. Editor YNC Shiva has been hired to trim the film. Art director G Durairaj has built sets for the entertainer. Action master Abishek Srinivas has designed action moves in the project. Ram In Leela is bankrolled by R Ravindran under the production banner Trident Arts, in association with Sudharsan for the production company EYWA Entertainment. 

On the work front, actor Rio Raj is now immersed in his next drama Maddy helmed by Karthikeyan B K in which he will be collaborating with actors Aju Varghese & Saniya Iyappan. He is also financing a movie titled Brown Mani scripted by Kathiravan Sampath with actors Ram Nishanth & J S Kavi in the lead roles. 

On the other hand, actress Nayana Elza is currently shooting for her future Malayalam project Qurbaani crafted by V Geo in which she will be performing alongside actors Shane Nigam & Soubin Shahir, and Christopher Columbus helmed by Prasanth Sasi in which she will be starring with actors Govind Padmasoorya & Neil Lee Luck.
