Actor Raghava Lawrence has not had a release in nearly three years. The Motta Siva Ketta Siva actor was last seen on screens in the horror flick Kanchana 3 which hit the theaters under his own direction with actresses Oviya, Vedhika, and Nikki Tamboli in the female lead roles. The venture opened to negative reviews from critics and audiences. But the actor has now moved on, and is gearing up for the release of his next entertainer christened Rudhran. Actress Priya Bhavani Shankar has essayed the female lead role in the movie. The entertainer is helmed by storyteller S Kathiresan. He has worked on the script with the assistance of writer K P Thirumaaran. The entertainer which went on floors some time back with a small pooja ceremony is now done and dusted ready for release.
Now, the production house has shared the trailer of the drama on social media along with its release date. Rudhran is poised to hit the theaters on 14th of April. Actor Raghava Lawrence has unveiled the trailer. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor dropped a poster from the drama along with a link to the trailer of Rudhran, and wrote, “I’m happy to present the action-packed Rudhran trailer! Two minute trailer opens to a bird eye view shot of a harbor with the voiceover, “You devise plans and take out people by sitting in a place. If someone has brought you out, then how bigger a man should he be?” We have the introduction of Raghava Lawrence who breaks bones of henchmen and sends them flying. The heroine is introduced in a typical Tamil cinema-esque fashion. Sarath Kumar who plays the antagonist has a stylish intro in suit. He comes as a corporate businessman with a madness in his approach to things. The trailer has gone viral, and has clocked millions of views setting high expectations on the entertainer.
Apart from actors Raghava Lawrence, and Priya Bhavani Shankar, the casting department of the drama has actors R Sarath Kumar, Nassar, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Nassar, Sachu, Shivajith, Redin Kingsley, Kaali Venkat, and Shyam Prasad K. R depicting various other supporting parts. Music director G. V. Prakash Kumar has composed music for songs. While Sam C S has scored background music for the film. Cinematographer R. D. Rajasekar has handled the cinematography division of the project. Editor Anthony has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the project. Art director Raju P has designed the background for the venture. Master Stunt Silva has choreographed action blocks for the movie. The project is produced by director S Kathiresan himself under his own production label Five Star Creations LLP.
On the work front, actor Raghava Lawrence who was last seen on screens in the horror thriller franchise Muni 4: Kanchana 3 is currently busy shooting for the second part of Chandramukhi under the direction of P. Vasu, and for Adhigaram helmed by Durai Senthilkumar. Auteur Vetrimaaran has written the script for the flick. The actor will soon begin to shoot for his next ventures christened Durga which is set to be crafted by Kathiresan, and for Jigarthanda Double X, sequel of Jigarthanda under storyteller Karthik Subbaraj in which he will be collaborating with actor SJ Suriya.
On the other hand, actress Priya Bhavani Shankar who had her last outing in Pathu Thala is currently busy shooting for the sequel of Indian directed by storyteller Shankar in which she will be collaborating with actor Kamal Hassan, for her debut untitled Telugu film directed by filmmaker Eashvar Karthic in which she will be sharing screen space with actor Satya Dev, and for a Telugu web drama titled Dootha helmed by director Vikram Kumar in which she will be seen alongside actors Naga Chaitanya Akkineni, and Parvathy Thiruvothu. Apart from these flicks, the actress has Bommai crafted by Radha Mohan in which she has co starred with actor S J Surya in post-production stage shaping up for release.
