Actor Ravi Mohan had his last outing in the action drama Parasakthi helmed by Sudha Kongara with actors Sivakarthikeyan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela in lead roles. The Agilan actor is now eagerly anticipating the release of his next political action movie Karathey Babu. Story teller Ganesh K Babu, who delivered a hit with his directorial debut in Dada, has directed the entertainer. Writers Bakkiyam Sankar and Rathna Kumar have conceptualized the story of the drama.
Model Daudee S Jiwal, daughter of former Tamil Nadu DGP Shankar Jiwal, will be stepping into Kollywood with her female lead role in the entertainer. Actor Shakthi Vasudevan is touted to have played the baddie in the project. Earlier, the makers had shared the teaser of the movie on social media. They have now released the first single from the album.

Singer Meenakshi Ilayaraja has written and sung the song. The number is mixed and mastered by Balu Thankachan. Music composer Sam C S has scored music for the entertainer. He has collaborated with actor Ravi Mohan for the third time after their success in Adanga Maru and Agilan. The teaser of the film which released earlier showed actor Ravi Mohan as a politician fiercely taking on his opponents to hold his fort at any cost.
Earlier talking to a leading media about his part in Karathey Babu, actor Ravi Mohan revealed, “I attempt to do something different with each role that I pick. My part in the film will be quite different from what people have seen me do so far. My director Ganesh K Babu is an excellent story teller. You will see that in the movie. I am sure Karathey Babu will be one of the most important projects in my career.”

Cinematographer K Ezhil Arasu has been behind the lens for the flick.
The editing department of the entertainer has been handed over to editor Kathiresh Alagesan. Art director A R Mohan has erected sets for the drama. Stunt director Dhilip Subbarayan has engineered action moves for the film. Karathey Babu is funded by Sundar Arumugam under the production label Screen Scene Media Entertainment.
On the work side, actor Ravi Mohan is awaiting the release of his next fantasy comedy movie Genie crafted by Bhuvanesh Arjunan in which he has featured actresses Krithi Shetty and Kalyani Priyadarshan. The Kadhalika Neramillai actor is now working on his future drama Bro Code scripted by Karthik Yogi in which he will be partnering with actress Sri Gouri Priya, Thani Oruvan 2 helmed by Mohan Raja in which he will be reuniting with actress Nayanthara, and for a cameo part in Benz created by Bakkiyaraj Kannan in which he will be associating with actors Raghava Lawrence & Nivin Pauly.
