Actor Pugazh was last seen on screens in the comedy drama Sotta Sotta Nanaiyuthu helmed by director Naveedh S Fareedh with actors Nishanth Russo, Varshini Venkat, and Shaalini in lead roles. The Agent Kannayiram actor made his debut as a lead hero in Suresh’s directorial Mr Zoo Keeper. He is now getting ready for the release of his sophomore project as a lead hero in 4 Idiots. Story teller Sajo Sundar, who has previously delivered X Videos, has helmed the movie.
He has co-written dialogues of the project with writer Da Vinci Saravanan. Actress Pragya Nayan will be making her debut in Tamil cinema with her female lead role in the drama. The audio launch event of the film recently took place in Chennai. The makers had unveiled the trailer of the drama in the function. They have now shared the trailer on social media.
Taking to their official X account, the production team of AP International launched a special poster of 4 Idiots and captioned it, “1 million and counting . . . The nearly two minute trailer of 4 Idiots starts with the voiceover of a man informing, “There is a room full of black money.” Then we have the intro of actor Pugazh who presents himself and his team, “My name is king. His name is Queen. He is ash. This is Jack.” The shot cuts to actor Ravi Mariya quipping, “What is this man? You have come together as rummy in poker.” Then he tells them, “My share is fifty percent of the money we loot.”
In a scene we witness Pugazh mouthing a punch dialogue, “From now we should not look to dodge them. They should be the one looking to elude us.” Subsequently, actress Pragya Nayan advises Pugazh, “There is self-interest in my request that you do not take the law into your own hands.” Following which we have a cop saying, “We have appointed a special flying squad to nab them. I am the head of it.”
4 Idiots is touted to be a heist drama which revolves around many gangs trying to loot a massive amount of black money stashed in a villa. Apart from Pugazh and Pragya Nayan, the casting team of 4 Idiots also has actors Vincent Ashokan, Ravi Mariya, Indiran, Mahanadi Shankar, Thidiyan, and Kumki Aswin in various supporting characters. Music director Subash Munirathinam has been contracted to compose music for the entertainer.
Cinematographer U K Senthil Kumar has been trusted with the cinematography division of the venture. Editor S N Fazil has been brought on board to bring coherence to the movie. Art director M D Prabhakaran has fashioned the background for the project.
Stunt director Spear Sathish has choreographed action moves for the film. 4 Idiots is backed by Dr. M Srivatsan and M Gokul Krishnan in affiliation with V K Murugesan and Geo A N Selvaraj under the production banner Lakshmi Movie Makers.
On the professional side, actor Pugazh is presently focused on his future dramas Kottravan scripted by Karthik Ravichandran in which he will be performing alongside actor Vibin, Kaana Peena filmed by debutant director Vijay Kiran in which he will be teaming up with actress Benzi Riya, Mustafa Mustafa crafted by Praveen Saravanan in which he will be sharing screen space with actresses Maheshwari Chanakyan & Monica Chinnakotla, and Four Signal directed by newbie director Maheswaran Kesavan in which he will be partnering with actors Sharmila, Aruvi Thirunavukkarasu, & Lollu Saba Seshu.
