Actor Santhanam last graced the silver screens at the beginning of this year in actor Vishal’s long delayed flick Madha Gaja Raja. The Parris Jayaraj actor is now anticipating the release of his horror comedy entertainer DD Next Level. The project is the fourth part in the popular DD franchise. Director S Prem Anand, who filmed the last installment DD Returns, has inked and crafted the movie. Actress Geethika Tiwary has essayed the female lead role in the drama. Director and actor Selvaraghavan has played an interesting role in the project. The production house has already announced that the drama will be released in theaters worldwide on 16th of May in languages Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
They have now dropped the trailer of the movie on social media. Taking to his official X handle, actor Silambarasan unveiled a special poster along with a link to the trailer of DD Next Level and wrote, “Big cheers to Santhanam and the entire team on the grand trailer launch! Three minute trailer of DD Next Level opens to a voiceover, “We are screening a special show in our theater tomorrow. If you come, it will serve as a promotion for our film.” We see actor Santhanam getting pulled into a surreal portal and lands in a swimming pool on a ship. Then a character says, “Review? How many movies would you have made a mockery of? Let me see how you review it being locked inside the film.” The shot cuts to actor Motta Rajendran asking, “What do you mean? Are we really inside the movie? I just cannot believe it.” Following which we have actor Redin Kingsley introducing Gautham Vasudev Menon, “Do you recognize our sir? This is Raghavan, the investigation officer.” Santhanam responds, “Bro . . . this is a movie, bro. He is GVM and you are Kingsley. You are using the same modulation Nelson taught you in every film, and getting richer by the day.” Redin Kingsley retorts, “Who is that, Nelson?” The trailer ends with a spoof of ‘Uyirin Uyire’ song from Gautham Vasudev Menon’s directorial Kakha Kakha enacted by himself and Yashika Anand.
Casting crew of DD Next Level also comprises actors Gautham Vasudev Menon, Redin Kingsley, Motta Rajendran, Lollu Sabha Maaran, Yashika Anand, Kasthuri Shankar, Lollu Sabha Jeeva, Nizhalgal Ravi, Brahmaji, Sha Ra, and Maran. Music director Ofro has composed music for the flick. First single christened ‘Kissa 47’ in Ofro’s vocals and Kelithee’s lyrics is already out from the album. Cinematographer Dipak Kumar Padhy has shouldered camera for the drama. Editor Bharath Vikraman has been signed in to trim the movie. Art director A R Mohan has designed sets for the project. Action directors Silva and Hari Dinesh have choreographed action blocks for the venture. DD Next Level is backed by Venkat Boyanapalli for his home production Niharika Entertainment. Actor Arya will present the movie under the production label The Show People.
On the work front, actor Santhanam has teamed up with actor Silambarasan after eons for the venture tentatively christened STR 49 filmed by Ramkumar with actress Sai Pallavi as female lead. Beside this flick, the Gulu Gulu star has two of his long-delayed entertainers Server Sundaram crafted by Anand Balki in which he has associated with actress Vaibhavi Shandilya, and Mapillai Vinayagar helmed by director Sriram Padhmanaban in which he will be seen alongside actors Bhagyaraj, Jeeva, Pandiyarajan, and Urvashi in the box done and dusted for release.
