Actor Kavin Raj lastly entertained audiences in the black comedy flick Bloody Beggar helmed by newbie director Sivabalan Muthukumar. The movie which engendered a lot of traction due its interesting teaser did not live up to its expectations. The Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma star is now getting ready for the release of his next romantic drama Kiss. Dance master and actor Sathish Krishnan will make his debut as a director with this movie. He has borrowed the assistance of writers Mugil and R Savari Muthu to pen dialogues for the film. Actress Preethi Asrani of Election fame will be romancing the actor in the entertainer. The makers are currently working to freeze a date for the release of the film. They are planning to release the project in languages Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
The production house has begun to promote the entertainer across all platforms. As part of it, they had earlier released the teaser of the flick on social media. Now they have shared a promo of the first single and announced the date on which it would be unveiled. Taking to his official X profile, actor Kavin Raj himself dropped the promo clip of the first single titled ‘Thirudi’ from the project and wrote, “Pala varsha kanavu . . . Nandri Ani sir Anirudh Ravichander. A Jen Martin musical. First single on 30-04-25.” Here is the post made by the actor.
Music director Anirudh Ravichander has lent his voice for the track. He was initially signed in to compose music for the film. Due to reasons best known to the production house he pulled out. Later music composer Jen Martin, who scored music for actor Kavin’s Bloody Beggar was brought on board. Lyricist and storyteller Vishnu Edavan, the director of Kavin Raj’s next project has inked lyrics for the song. The teaser of Kiss which released a couple of months ago showed actor Kavin Raj as an youngster who detests romantic gestures in public, and as someone who gets baffled when the heroine asks him about his first kiss.
Apart from Kavin and Preethi Asrani, the star cast of the entertainer also has actors Prabhu, Devayani, VJ Vijay, Rao Ramesh, VTV Ganesh, and Mathew Varghese in various supporting roles. Cinematographer Harish Kannan has taken care of the cinematography department of the flick. Editor R C Pranav has been tasked with editing the project. Art director Mohana Mahendiran has fashioned sets for the venture. Action directors Dinesh Subbarayan, Peter Hein, and Rambo Vimal have designed action moves for the entertainer. The movie is bankrolled by Raahul under the production label Romeo Pictures.
On the work front, actor Kavin Raj is presently engaged in his upcoming ventures christened Mask scripted by director Vikarnan Ashok in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Andrea Jeremiah, Hi helmed by Vishnu Edavan in which he will be joining force with actress Nayanthara for the first time in his career, and Oor Kuruvi crafted by story teller K Arun.
