Actor Prabhu Deva is one of the busy artists in the k-town at the moment. The actor is on wheels between multiple sets for the past few months. The actor who hit the career milestone of 50 films with Pon Manickavel inked his signature for Rekla last year. The film is directed by film maker Anbu who had previously helmed Walter with actor Sibiraj in the lead role. Actress Vani Bhojan will be playing the female lead role in the entertainer. Actor Arya released the motion poster of the movie which had a bull racing towards a Khaki colored piece of clothing. The poster was well received by the audience. The project which was in the pre-production has gone on floors recently, with a small pooja ceremony. The ceremony was graced by the presence of film maker Mysskin, Prabhudeva, Vani Bhojan, and Ghibran. The production house has announced the news on their official social media page. Taking to their twitter account, the production house shared a picture from the pooja ceremony, and wrote, “The shooting of Prabhudeva’s Rekla has commenced with a pooja today.” Here is the picture from the pooja ceremony.
Rekla Movie Pooja
The shooting of the film is set to take place around areas in Chennai, Pudukottai, Madurai, Kumbakonam, and Goa. The production unit has plans to shoot the film on multiple schedules. Talking to a leading media house, director Anbu said, “Rekla is an action crime thriller. It will be a complete commercial entertainer set at the backdrops of both village and city. The film depicts the story of a man who migrates to the city from village. An incident that happens here emmesh him in to a messier situation. Actor Prabhudeva will be seen in a never seen before avatar in the film.”
Apart from actors Prabhudeva and Vani Bhojan, the film will have actor Robo Shankar essaying an important role. The music for the venture will be composed by music director Ghibran. The rest of the cast and crew is expected to be announced shortly. The entertainer is bankrolled by S. Ambeth Kumar under the production house Olympia Movies. The venture is expected to hit the screens towards the end of this year.
On the work front, actor Prabhudeva who was last seen in the action entertainer Theal is gearing up for the release of his adult psychological thriller Bagheera which is directed by film maker Adhik Ravichandran of Trisha Illana Nayanthara fame, in which the actor will be sharing the screen space with actress Amyra Dastur. The actor is currently busy shooting for multiple Tamil projects Oomai Vizhigal, Flash Back, My dear Bootham, Poikkal Kuthirai, and his Kannada project Lucky Man. Apart from this the actor has his long-delayed project tilted Yung Mung Sung directed by M. S. Arjun waiting for release.
On the other hand, actress Vani Bhojan has a number of films lined up for release in her pipeline in the likes of Pagaivanuku Arulvai helmed by Anis, Casino directed by Mark Joel, Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku under the direction of Karthik Chowdhary, and Thazh Thiravaa helmed by story teller Barani Sekaran.
