Actor Karthi, who has completed the shooting for his upcoming movie, ‘Dev’, has begun shooting for his next venture, which will be directed by ‘Maanagaram’ Director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The title is yet to be finalized and the movie was launched with a Puja on Wednesday. The film is said to be an action thriller genre. Surprisingly, the movie, which is being mentioned as #Karthi18, will not have a heroine. “Karthi does have a romantic interest in this movie, but this character will not be focused much on the screen. Moreover, the audiences will not feel the need of the heroine. It is a complete action thriller, and every scene will be emotional and intense one,’ says Director Lokesh
In fact, stunt scenes, choreographed by Stunt Director Anbariv, will cover up 70% of the movie., which will be shot in Tirunelveli and Chennai. The story takes place in a location which is neither a city, nor a village, adds the director.
‘Anjathey’ Narain, Ramana, Kalakka Povathu Yaaru Dheena, and George Mariyaan will play important roles. Sathyan Soryan has been roped in for cinematography who shot Karthi’s ‘Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru’ and Sam CS will compose the music. ‘Maanagaram’ art director Sathish Kumar, editor Philomin Raj, and dialogue writer Pon Parthiban are also part of the film crew.
