Story teller and actor Pradeep Ranganathan had his last outing at the beginning of this year in the coming-of-age comedy drama Dragon crafted by Ashwath Marimuthu with actresses Kayadu Lohar and Anupama Parameswaran in the female lead roles. The Love Today actor is now gearing up for the release of his next movie christened Dude. Newbie director Keerthiswaran, former assistant of director Sudha Kongara, has written and directed the movie.
Actress Mamitha Baiju of Rebel fame has essayed the female lead role in the entertainer. The production house has already publicized that the drama will be a festive release hitting theaters worldwide on Diwali 17th of October in languages Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The makers had earlier shared the first look poster of the flick on social media. They have now released the second single from the album.
Taking to their official X account, the production team of a Mythri Movie Makers dropped a special poster along with a link to the second single ‘Nallaru Po’ from Dude and captioned it, “Here is the DUDE’S SECOND GEAR. Music composer Sai Abhyankkar has scored music for the number. He has also lent his voice for the song along with singers Tipu and Mohit Chauhan. Lyricist Vivek has penned lyrics for the track. Already a single christened ‘Oorum Blood’ and a background score titled ‘Blud is on his way’ are out from the album.
The first look poster of the film which was released earlier had actor Pradeep Ranganathan with bruises on his face holding a wedding necklace in his clenched fist. Dude will be releasing alongside Pradeep Ranganathan’s another film Love Insurance Kompany scripted by Vignesh Shivan, Dhruv Vikram’s Bison filmed by Mari Selvaraj, and Harish Kalyan’s Diesel helmed by Shanmugam Muthusamy.
Beside Pradeep Ranganathan, and Mamitha Baiju, the star cast of the venture also has actors R Sarathkumar, Rohini Molleti, Hridhu Haroon, Aishwarya Sharma, and Youtuber Dravid Selvam in various supporting characters. Cinematographer Niketh Bommi has taken care of the cinematography department of the project. Editor Barath Vikraman has been brought on board to bring coherence to the drama.
Art director Selva Kumar has designed the background for the flick. Stunt master Vicky has fashioned action blocks for the project. The film is backed by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the banner house Mythri Movie Makers. Netflix OTT platform has bagged the digital rights of the venture for a whooping price of 25 crore. Raahul has acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the entertainer and will be bringing it to theaters under the banner Romeo Pictures.
On the professional side, actor Pradeep Ranganathan will soon be seen on screens in Love Insurance Kompany scripted by story teller Vignesh Shivan in which he will be seen alongside actresses Krithi Shetty of The Warriorr fame, and Gouri G Kishan of 96 fame.
On the other hand, actress Mamitha Baiju will soon have her next release in Tamil via Jana Nayagan helmed by director H Vinoth. The ensemble cast of the entertainer includes actors Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Shruthi Haasan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Bobby Deol, & Prakash Raj. The actress is currently busy shooting for her next film tentatively titled Suriya 46 filmed by Venky Atluri, and Irandu Vaanam helmed by director Ram Kumar in which she will be sharing screen space with actor Vishnu Vishal.
