Much Awaited Trailer Of Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai Is Out!

Auteur Vetrimaaran is probably the only director in Kollywood with a large fan base. The Vada Chennai director had previously crafted a short in the anthology project Paava Kadhaigal. The director is now gearing up for release of his next directorial Viduthalai – Part I. The drama has actor Soori in the lead part, and actor Vijay Sethupathi in a pivotal role. The entertainer is based on a short story written by famous author B. Jeyamohan. The shoot for the first part of Viduthalai was wrapped a couple of months ago, and the shoot for second part was wrapped recently. We had also reported the news. Now, the production unit has unveiled the trailer of Viduthalai – Part I on social media. Actor Vijay Sethupathi himself has shared the trailer. Taking to his official twitter page, the actor shared a poster from the film along with a link to the trailer of Viduthalai – Part I, and wrote, “Vetrimaran’s Viduthalai – Part I trailer. Ilaiyaraaja musical.” Here is the tweet made by the actor.

Two and a half minute trailer opens to a bird’s eye view of a mountain region with a voiceover, “All India radio – news update. Read by Fargunan. Railways authorities have announced that the express train set to arrive this morning from the capital city to Arumapuri has crashed on a bridge.” The scene cuts to a police review meeting, where a cop says, “We’ve performed extra-judicial killings only on grassroot activists until now. Mentor Perumal is their true leader, sir. Unless and until we get hold of him, we cannot curb the rise of the people’s army.” In the visuals we witness a bunch of men ambushing a police vehicle. Then we have a cop announcing, “The state has witnessed a terror attack of unprecedented proportion. Let us discuss that, and only that. Our goal is to capture Perumal, the leader of the people’s army. Dead or alive.” We are shown glimpses of Soori’s life as an intern. And a high-risk stunt performed by the actor. The trailer ends with a captured Vijay Sethupathi, mouthing, “You separate humans upon birth as top, bottom, or middle. Aren’t you the separatists here? We fight for the inclusion of all into society. Are we the separatist?” The trailer has amplified expectations on the drama. An official release date of the movie is expected to be announced soon.
