Actor Mirchi Senthil was last seen on screens in a cameo appearance in the blockbuster drama Soorarai Pottru which hit the screens under the direction of director Sudha Kongara with actors Suriya and Aparna Balamurali in lead roles. The Rombha Nallavan Da Nee actor is now getting ready for the release of his upcoming web series christened Police Police in which he has played the lead role.
Debutant actor Jaiseelan Sivaram has played Mirchi Senthil’s sidekick in the series. The makers are presently making moves to lock a date to premiere the series. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected to be made soon. The makers have now started to promote the entertainer. As part of the promotion campaign, they have unveiled a promo clip from the series on social media.
Taking to their official X profile, team of Jio Hotstar Tamil shared the promo clip of Police Police and worded it, “Murattu Raja’vum Thiruttu Murali’um serndhale Majaa dhan. Hotstar Specials Police Police coming soon on Jio Hotstar. Jio Hotstar. Police Police Coming Soon On Jio Hotstar. Police Police On Jio Hotstar. Police Police Promo. Jio Hotstar Tamil. One minute promo clip of Police Police opens in a police station to a cop (played by Mirchi Senthil) subjecting an accused to police brutality. An aid interrupts him, “Sir tea.” With his head sideways, he gestures to place it on the table. In a funny manner a person (played by Jaiseelan Sivaram) sitting among suspects asks him, “Brother, one tea for me!” All other suspects watch the police brutality happening in front of their eyes in shock.
Jaiseelan Sivaram enquires the terrified suspects, “Are you scared? It is going to get even scarier! Our case is next. If we do not tell the truth, we are dead meat.” The fellow who was being beaten up falls in front of them. Jaiseelan Sivaram checks his pulse and says, “Rest in peace bro.” The shot cuts to Mirchi Senthil calling Jaiseelan Sivaram, “Hey. . .” He responds to him, “Investigation done.” An accused mouths, “He is a cop?”
Jaiseelan Sivaram continues to report his findings, “The guy on the left was not in town last night. The guy on the right was fully drunk. He blacked out last night. But you see the guy in the middle? It is his story. There are some pages missing in between!” To which Mirchi Senthil inquires, “How do you know so accurately?”
Jaiseelan Sivaram turns to the guy in the middle and asks him, “Look now. Hey, you watched the movie police police last night, right? In the climax, the hero could have survived, right?” The suspect enthusiastically replies, “But the hero did not die sir!” To which he retorts, “You are dead now! Sir, this guy snatched a chain coming from the second show last night!”
The accused admits in panic, “Sir, I did it. I confess, sir, sir . . . please sir, I stole the chain, sir, please sir, sir . . .” The promo ends with Mirchi Senthil with his baton in hand walking towards him.
Apart from Mirchi Senthil and Jaiseelan Sivaram, the casting crew of Police Police also has actors Sujitha Dhanush, Vincent Roy, Shabana Shahjahan, and Sathya depicting various supporting characters. The production house is tightlipped about technicians that make the technical crew. Police Police is produced by the Jio Hotstar OTT platform.
On the work front, actor Mirchi Senthil is busy shooting for his upcoming entertainer titled Munnarivaan directed by story teller Vijay Raj in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Bharath Srinivasan and Janani Iyer.
On the other hand, presently actress Shabana Shahjahan is engaged in her next web drama Marriage Story helmed by director Sunil Dev in which she will be performing alongside actors Nassar, Aruldoss, and Deepika Venkatachalam.
