Actor G V Prakash Kumar had a release earlier this year in the romantic comedy movie Happy Raj crafted by debutant director Maria Raja Elanchezian with actress Sri Gouri Priya as female lead. The Kingston actor is now getting ready for the release of his upcoming action thriller film titled Vekkai. Newbie director Akiran Moses has helmed the movie. He has sought the assistance of writer Tamizh Prabha to pen the story of the drama.
Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi of Manjummel Boys fame has portrayed the second lead role in the venture. He will be launching his career as an actor in Kollywood via the drama. Telugu actor Sunil has essayed a crucial part in the flick. The production house had recently released the first look poster of the movie on social media. They have now shared the first single from the album.
Taking to his official X profile, story teller Pa Ranjith dropped the first single ‘Nightu Nila’ from Vekkai and wrote, “The perfect love track to welcome the monsoon and make it more romantic. Singer Gana Bala has crooned the song. Lyricist Arivu has written lyrics for the track. The number is mixed and mastered by Jehovahson Alghar. Dance master Sri Krish has choreographed dance moves for the song. Apart from headlining the venture, G V Prakash Kumar has also composed music for the drama.
The first look poster of Vekkai had both G V Prakash Kumar and Sreenath Bhasi throwing a punch at each other with an overlay image of a bustling traffic of a busy city. Vekkai is hyped to be an action film that would tread on class divide and systemic struggles of the oppressed community.
Besides G V Prakash Kumar, Sreenath Bhasi, and Sunil, the star cast of the entertainer also has actors Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, Shivani Rajashekar, Mime Gopi, Lingesh, Sai Dheena, Lisha Chinnu, Sampathram, and Yuvan Mayilsamy in various supporting roles. Cinematographer Roopesh Shaji has been behind camera for the flick. Editor Selva R K has been roped in to chop and patch the entertainer.
Art director Jaya Ragu has fashioned sets for the flick. Stunt director Stunner Sam has designed action blocks for the project. The film is bankrolled by Pa Ranjith under his production company Neelam Productions, in affiliation with Venkatesh Velineni and D Lemuel for the banner house Divine Productions.
