Actor Karthi was last seen on screens in the lackluster romantic drama Dev which was rejected by the audience totally and happened to the actor’s biggest setback film of his career. The actor is currently busy shooting for his film Kaithi directed by Maanagaram fame Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is bankrolled by S. R. Prabhu under the banner Dream Warrior Pictures. The casting of the film include Malayalam actor Narain, George Maryan, Yogi babu, Ponvannan and Thalaivasal Vijay. The project is in its final stage of the shoot and is expected to be wrapped up by the end of May.
We had earlier reported that after this project Karthi will be teaming up with his sister in law Jyothika for a project that will be directed by Jeethu Joseph of Papanasam fame. Like we reported the actor himself has announced the project on his twitter account. The actor shared a poster which revealed that the project has gone on floors. The actor has also stated that he is thrilled to share screen space with his sister in law. The actor will be seen in the role of a brother to actress Jyothika in the film. The project will be bankrolled by Jyothika’s real life brother Suraj under the banner Parallel minds. The poster robustly indicates that the flick will be a mystery thriller like the director’s previous venture Papanasam.
The musical instruments for the film will be handled by Govind Vasantha while the camera for the film will be handled by R. D. Rajasekar. The Baahubali actor Sathyaraj is roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. The film is expected to hit the screens by the end of October 2019.
On the work front, the actor is currently busy shooting for his film Kaithi and also has begun shooting for his venture with Jeethu Joseph. The actor is also a part of Mani Ratnam’s star stubbed dream venture Ponniyin Selvan. Apart from this the actor has a yet to be titled film that will be directed by Remo fame director Bakkiyaraj Kannan in which Geetha Govindam fame actress Rashmika Mandanna will be romancing Karthi.
Meanwhile, actress Jyothika is currently busy shooting for her action comedy film under the directorial of Kalyaan. The actress is said to have performed many risky stunts in the film without any dupe. Besides this project the actress has an untitled flick that will be directed by debutant director Frederick.
