After winning all the legal battles finally actor Suriya is gearing up for the release of his much anticipated film of the year Kaappaan which is helmed by director K. V. Anand of Iyan fame. The actor had a not so good last outing with his social political drama NGK which hit the theaters under the direction of story teller Selvaraghavan. The social political entertainer which hit the screens amidst high expectations failed to live up to the expectations of the audience as a result it did not fair in the box office as well. But the Pithamagan star is said to be in high hopes on his upcoming mass action entertainer which is titled as Kaappaan and is confident that the action entertainer will bring him back to the winning ways.
The film which has been in the making for a long time now will finally be hitting the screens on 20th of this month. Now the production unit has launched the second trailer of the flick on social media. The first trailer of the movie which was unveiled on social media some time ago was in a blend of action and romance. But the second trailer of the film gives us a glimpse of the action facet of the entertainer where we get to see actor Surya pulling off some high octane action stunts. The trailer has actor Surya as a good man as well as in grey shades which has roused the curiosity of the audience.
Actor Suriya has portrayed the role of a NSG Commando officer in the flick who dons different getup for his undercover missions. According to reports, Malayalam super star actor Mohanlal will be seen in the role of India’s Prime Minister while actor Arya will be playing the role of Mohanlal’s son. The fans of actor Surya have been waiting for a long time now for a solid mega block buster movie from their favorite star. Surya’s last mega block buster film was the science fiction entertainer 24 which hit the screens in the year 2016. Since then the star has not delivered a solid hit under his name. We will have to wait to see what Kaappaan has under its sleeves to register high foot falls in theaters.
Besides actors Suriya, Mohanlal and Arya, the casting of the movie has Sayyeshaa in the female lead role, while Samuthirakani, Poorna, Prem, Thalaivasal Vijay, and Chirag Jani will be depicting various other pivotal roles. Bollywood veteran actor Boman Irani will be seen in grey shades in the flick. The musical instrument of the drama has been handled by Harris Jayaraj. While M. S. Prabhu and Abinandan Ramanujam have been behind the lens for the movie, editor Antony has trimmed the action drama. The motion picture is produced by the production giants Lyca productions.
On the professional front, the actor who is currently busy shooting for his upcoming project Soorarai Pottru under the directorial of film maker Sudha Kongara of Irruthi Sutru fame will be joining the sets of director Siruthai Siva for their yet to be tilted project.
