The current comedy sensation and a must have comedian for projects including that of top stars is none other than Yogi Babu who is at the pinnacle of his career. The actor is busy shooting for the super star starrer Darbar and the thalapathy Vijay starrer Bigil simultaneously. Besides this the comedian has racked up nearly 25 plus projects in his shelves which is adequate to keep him busy till 2021. The actor is also gearing up for a back to back release in the likes of Gurkha, Dharma Prabhu and Zombie which are ready to hit the screens soon.
Now we have an interesting rumor about the plot of his comedy film Gurkha. The comedy entertainer Gurkha will most likely be the first film to be released out of his next three flicks as lead hero. The venture will mark the third time association of director Sam Anton and the actor. Now, according to a source the project is said to be an unofficial remake of Hollywood film that hit the screens in the year 2009, Paul Blart: Mall Cop. According to the source, “The film is an unofficial remake of the Hollywood film Paul Blart: Mall Cop. Though it is a remake director Sam Anton has made many changes to the script to suit the taste of Tamil audience. Yogi Babu’s performance will surely be a highlight in the film. The actor will go a step further in the industry after the release of the comedy entertainer.”
The plot of the film is about how a mall security saves people that are held as a hostage by a group of terrorists in a mall in the city. Apart from actor Yogi Babu a dog will be seen in a crucial role in the comedy drama.
The motion picture is bankrolled by the film maker himself under the banner 4 Monkey’s Studio. The unit in currently canning a song sequence in AVM Studios which will have actor Yogi Babu and foreign model Elyssa shaking their legs, both the actors is said to have performed some admirable dance moves in the song. The peppy number is penned by director Vignesh Shivan and is sung by musician G. V. Prakash Kumar. The dance choreographer of the song Sathish Krishnan states, “The song is a hip hop number and is molded in accord to the style of the actor. Both Yogi Babu and Elyssa have given their best in the song. I am quite happy with their moves which will also be admired by the audience.”
Apart from actors Yogi Babu and Elyssa, the star cast of the movie includes Anand Raj, Livingston, Pradeep Rawat, Ravi Mariya, Manobala, Charlie, and Mayilsamy portraying various supporting roles. While the cinematography department has been handled by Krishnan Vasanth, the editing department will be handled by Ruben. The project is expected to hit the screens in the month of July.
