Actor Yogi Babu is very successful in juggling between shouldering a film all by himself, and playing the sidekick of leading stars in the industry. The actor had his last outing in actor Vijay starrer Varisu which hit the screens for Pongal this year under the direction of story teller Vamsi Paidipally with actress Rashmika Mandanna. The entertainer opened to mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike. Despite that there is news that it is doing well in the box office. Actor Yogi Babu has now moved on to his next movie titled Miss Maggie in which he will be playing the lead part. Actress Aathmika of Meesaya Murukku fame will be seen in the female lead role. Storyteller Latha R Maniyarasu has penned and helmed the venture.
Now, the production house has shared the first look title teaser of Miss Maggie on social media. Actress Aathmika herself has shared the teaser. Taking to her official twitter account, the actress shared an announcement poster along with a link to the teaser, and wrote, “Who is Miss Maggie? Click the link to find the gorgeous granny! The one-minute odd teaser opens to a granny (played by Yogi Babu) decking up in her room which has a classic vintage touch to it. We could get a glimpse of a record player, a vintage timepiece, and a picture of Charlie Chaplin. Miss Maggie gives us a resemblance of Hollywood actor Martin Lawrence’s Big Momma’s House.
Apart from actors Yogi Babu, and Aathmika, the casting department of the drama has actor Madhampatty T P Rangaraj in a key supporting role. Music director Karthik has handled the musical instruments for the film. Cinematography for the drama has been done by cinematographer Gowtham Rajendran. Editor Sathish Surya has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the project. Art director Ravi Pandian has designed the background for the film. Stunt master Sudesh Kumar has choreographed action moves for the movie. The venture is bankrolled by Vedikkaranpatti S Sakthivel, and Madhampatty T P Rangaraj under the banner house Drumsticks Productions.
On the work front, actor Yogi Babu who was last seen on screens in Varisu is gearing up for the release of his next project Ayalaan directed by R Ravikumar in which he has shared the screen space with actors Sivakarthikeyan, and Rakul Preet Singh. The actor is currently busy shooting for his next flick titled Jailer helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar in which he will be collaborating with actor Rajinikanth, for Thalai Nagaram 2 scripted by V Z Dhorai in which he will be seen alongside actor Sundar C, for Medical Miracle filmed by Johnson in which he will be romancing actress Dharsha Gupta, and for Boomer Uncle crafted by Swadees M S in which he will be co starring with actress Oviya Helen. Apart from these flicks, the actor has Kasethan Kadavulada directed by R Kannan in which he has associated with actor Shiva, Andhagan helmed by Thiagarajan in which he has shared the screen space with actor Prashanth, and Sathuranga Vettai 2 scripted by Nirmal Kumar in which he has played the sidekick of actor Arvind Swamy in the shelves waiting for release.
On the other hand, actress Aathmika who was last seen on screens in Kaatteri in currently busy shooting for her upcoming drama christened Kannai Nambathey under the directorial of story teller Mu. Maran in which she will be romancing actor Udhayanidhi Stalin. Apart from this project, the actress has her long-delayed venture Naragasooran crafted by Karthick Naren in which she will be seen alongside actor Aravind Swamy in the box waiting to see the light of day.
