Sasikumar who was last seen on screens in the super star Rajinikanth starrer Petta received critical acclamation for his cameo role as Malik in the film. The actor is having a busy year ahead with a handful of flicks in his pipeline. Now we have an interesting update on the Subramaniyapuram actor’s next flick. Recently, it was announced that actors Sasi Kumar and Sarath Kumar will be teaming up for a drama. Now the production unit has unveiled the first look poster along with the title of the movie on social media and it is captivating to the core.
Actor Sarath Kumar has shared the first look poster of the project on his twitter handle along with the note, ‘The entire team is exicited.’ The first look has Sasikumar’s face in the top and Sarath Kumar’s face below as if like a skin-mask that wears off from Sasikumar’s. The first look picture of the drama is sure to garner the attention of cinema buffs in the state and already has paved way for the speculation that the movie might be based on a face swap concept.
Touted to be an action adventure thriller the venture is titled as Naa Naa which stands for Naan Naarayanan. The action entertainer is said to be set at the backdrop of urban setup and is set to be shot extensively in Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. The first schedule of the shoot which was happening in Mumbai was recently wrapped up. Actor Sasikumar is said to have undergone a change over in appearance to get him in to the urban look. The Kutty Puli hero is expected to essay the protagonist role of an ex police official with a mysterious past in the venture. The project will hit the screens under the directorial of film maker N. V. Nirmal Kumar of Salim fame.
Speaking about the project, the director stated, “The protagonist role will be very powerful and interesting. It will be an intense drama which will keep the audience hooked till the very end. While crafting the script I know that the character will demand two powerful personalities. When I sat down with my team to discuss about the casting, we all felt that Sasikumar and Sarath Kumar will be fitting in the roles.” When asked about the reason behind the title of the drama, the story teller says, “That people have to catch the movie in theaters to know about it. I think it will have a neat justification,” concluded the director.
The motion picture is bankrolled by P. K. Ram Mohan under the banner Kalpatharu Pictures, who had also produced Salim. The music for the entertainer is composed by Harshwardhan Rameshwar. While cinematographer Ganesh Chandra will be seen behind the camera for the movie, S. P. Raja Sethupathi will be trimming the movie.
On the work front, Sasikumar will next be seen on screens in the romantic thriller Enai Noki Paayum Thota co starring with Dhanush. The actor is also gearing up for the release of his sports entertainer Kennedy Club in Suseenthiran’s direction. Apart from these flicks the actor has Naadodigal 2, Kombu Vacha Singamda, and Rajavamsam in his kitty.
