Actor Nivin Pauly who ventured in to Tamil cinema with Neram which hit the theaters under the directorial of Alphonse Puthren with actress Nazriya Nazim as female lead, went on to earn a loyal fan base in Tamil Nadu with his coming of age romance drama Premam which had actresses Sai Pallavi, Anupama Parameswaran, and Madonna Sebastian in the female lead roles. The actor who had his last outing in Kollywood in the likes of Richie helmed by director Gautham Ramachandran back in the year 2017, will be returning to Tamil cinema once again with his Tamil Malayalam bilingual entertainer titled Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai. Actress Anjali has essayed the female lead part in the movie. Storyteller Ram of Taramani fame has directed the flick. The drama went on floors last year with a small pooja ceremony in Dhanushkodi in Rameshwaram and was wrapped in A R R Film City in Gummidipoondi. The post production work for the film has been happening in full swing.
Now, the production house has released the first look poster of the flick on social media. Producer Suresh Kamatchi himself has dropped the poster. Recently the production team launched an animated title teaser. It had actor Nivin Pauly’s character voicing, “Not just your heart, when in love, your soul, body, and everything will fly.” The video had a great reception among the audience. Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai is touted to be an intense romance drama. It is said that actor Nivin Pauly will be playing a tribal man in Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai. Director Ram’s last directorial Peranbu with actor Mammootty in the lead received critical acclaim from the critics and audience alike. So, the anticipation for this venture is quite high. The production house is currently working on blocking a date in December. The news is that they are eyeing for a Christmas release.
Apart from actors Nivin Pauly and Anjali, the casting of the flick has actor Soori playing an important role. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for the movie. Cinematographer N K Ekhambharam has been behind the lens for the drama. Editor Mathi S has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the movie. Master Stunt Silva has choreographed the action moves for the entertainer. The drama is produced by producer Suresh Kamatchi under his production company V House Productions.
On the work front, actor Nivin Pauly who was last seen on screens in the Malayalam entertainer Saturday Night is currently busy shooting for his next Malayalam project christened Thaaram under the direction of director Vinay Govind. Apart from this project, the actor has Thuramukham filmed by storyteller Rajeev Ravi, and Padavettu helmed by Liju Krishna in various stages of post-production getting fine-tuned for release. On the other hand, actor Soori who was last seen in a cameo in actor Sivakarthikeyan starrer Prince will soon begin to shoot for an untitled web series which is set to be directed by filmmaker Vikram Sugumaran. He is set to play the lead role in the series. Apart from this project, the actor has Viduthalai helmed by auteur Vetrimaaran in which he has collaborated with actor Vijay Sethupathi in the post production getting shaped for release.
