Ever since director Selvaraghavan turned an actor through Beast he seems to have developed a taste for performing. He put on an impressive show in his sophomore drama Saani Kaayidham alongside actress Keerthy Suresh. Following the release of the venture, he went on to direct his upcoming film Naane Varuven. Now, he is back with what appears to be yet another unique character with a powerful character arc in Bakasuran. Cinematographer and actor Natarajan Subramanian popularly known as Natty has essayed a crucial part in the entertainer. Controversial filmmaker G Mohan of Draupadi and Rudra Thandavam fame has helmed the flick. The movie which went on floors sometime ago was wrapped up in just three months and was sent to the post production.
Now, the production house has shared the teaser of the flick on social media. Actor Selvaraghavan himself has unveiled the teaser. Taking to his official twitter account the actor dropped the teaser of the flick with the message, “Protect our next generation. Hope you all like it. Here is Bakasuran teaser.” Here is the teaser shared by the director.
The one-minute odd short video opens with an aerial shot with vintage classic numbers playing in the background. Then it cuts to a backside shot of actor Selvaraghavan walking with rage. Following it we have the introduction of Natty who tells, “In every household the parents must surveillance what their daughters and sons are doing closing the door of their room, only then this type of crimes will lessen.” In one bit of the teaser, we witness a strapped woman asking actor Selvaraghavan, “Who are you? Why are you torturing me like this?” To which he responds, “What you sow, is what you reap.” The teaser seems intense. But we will have to wait and see whether there any controversial elements in this movie as well. An announcement on the release date of the project is expected to be made soon.
Apart from actors Selvaraghavan and Natarajan Subramanian, Bakasuran has actors Radha Ravi, Rajan K, Rams, Saravanan, Subbiah, D Gunanithi, Tharakshi, Mansoor Ali Khan, Devadharshini, P L Thennappan, Cool Suresh, Sasi Laya, Lavanya, Pondy Ravi, Kutty Gopi, and Arunodhayan playing various other supporting parts. The musical department of the entertainer has been handed over to musician Sam C S. The cinematography for the film was done by cinematographer Farook J Basha. Editor Devaraj S has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the drama. Master Mirattal Selva has choreographed the action blocks for the movie. The entertainer is funded by director G Mohan himself under his production house GM Film Corporation.
On the work front, actor Selvaraghavan who is waiting for the release of Bakasuran is gearing up for the release of his directorial venture Naane Varuven with actor Dhanush in the lead which is shaping up in the post production. Reportedly, he has also played a part in the drama. On the other hand, actor Natarajan Subramanian who was last seen on screens in Karnan is busy shooting for his upcoming project titled Sambavam under the direction of story teller Ranjith Parijatham in which he has shared the screen space with actors Srikanth and Shamna Kasim, for Infinity directed by filmmaker Sai Karthik in which he has co starred with actress Vidya Pradeep, and for Web helmed by Haroon in which he will be romancing actress Shilpa Manjunath.
