Character Introduction Video From Soori’s Mandaadi Is Out!
Actor Soori was last seen on screens in the action-comedy movie Maaman directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj with actress Aishwarya Lekshmi in the female lead role. The Garudan actor is now getting ready for the release of his next sports action drama titled Mandaadi. Story teller Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, who garnered the attention of audience in his debut film Selfie, has directed the drama. He has co-written the film with writers Ameer Jamal Khan, R Mohana Vasanthan, and Thiral Sankar.
Actress Mahima Nambiar of Iravukku Aayiram Kangal fame has played the female lead role in the project. The entertainer has been extensively shot in and around the neighborhoods of Thondi Beach in Ramanathapuram, and few coastal regions of Tamil Nadu. The production house has already announced that the drama will be releasing worldwide on 4th of September this year. Meanwhile, they have now dropped a character introduction video on social media.
Taking to his official X handle, actor Soori himself dropped a couple of special posters along with a link to the character intro video from Mandaadi and wrote, “Every clan has a force that leads the way. One minute odd character intro video opens to a note, ‘Face the fury of Sammaatti clan.’ Then it introduces actor Suhas standing on a boat in the ocean. We are then presented with a few behind the scenes. Subsequently, we get to see the menacing nature of actor Suhas as a villain. The video ends with his character’s name ‘Saattapuli.’
Apart from Soori and Mahima Nambiar, the ensemble cast of the movie also has actors Suhas, Bala Saravanan, Mithun Jai Sankar, Achyuth Kumar, Krish Hassan, Sathyaraj, Rajesh Gopishetty, Phathmen, Aadukalam Murugadoss, Ramachandran, Rajapandi, Sachana Namidass, and Ravindra Vijay in various supporting roles.
Music director G V Prakash Kumar has been hired to work on the musical division of the film. Cinematographer S R Kathir has taken care of the cinematography department of the movie. Editor Pradeep E Ragav has been bestowed with the responsibility to bring coherence to the project.
Art director S J Ram has fashioned background for the drama. Action directors Peter Hein, Dhilip Subbarayan, and Mahesh Mathew have worked in tandem to choreograph action blocks in the venture. The entertainer is bankrolled by Elred Kumar along with V Manikandan under the production house RS Infotainment. Netflix OTT platform has purchased the digital rights of the project.
On the professional side, actor Soori will soon have his next release in Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai helmed by Ram in which he has shared screen space with actors Nivin Pauly & Anjali. The Kottukkaali actor is now busy shooting for his next untitled film scripted by R Ravikumar, Iraivan Miga Periyavan crafted by Ameer Sultan in which he will be costarring with actors Mirnaa & Karu Pazhaniappan, and Maattram filmed by Anjathe Sridhar in which he will be collaborating with actors Appukutty & Saalai Ravi.
On the other hand, actress Mahima Nambiar is staring at successive release via the Tamil flick Bell Bottom created by Sathyasiva in which she has teamed up with actor Krishna, and a Telugu drama Comrade Kalyan helmed by Janakiram Marella in which she has romanced actor Sree Vishnu. The Oh My Dog actress is now engaged in her next untitled Tamil venture crafted by Pa Vijay in which she will be featuring with actor Prabhu Deva.
