Actor Kalaiyarasan was recently seen on screens in the psychological techno thriller Trending helmed by N Sivaraj with actress Priyalaya as female lead. Actor Attakathi Dinesh had a release last year in Thamizharasan Pachamuthu’s Lubber Pandhu in which he had collaborated with actors Harish Kalyan, Swasika, and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy. Both the stars are now gearing up for the release of their next entertainer christened Thandakaaranyam.
Director Athiyan Athirai, who drew Tamil audience’s attention with Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu, has written and crafted the film. Actress Riythvika of Madras fame has depicted a pivotal role in the flick. The production house has already announced that the drama will be released in theaters worldwide on 19th of September. Earlier this year they had shared the first look poster of the movie on social media. They have now dropped the teaser of the flick.
Taking to his official X account, actor Kalaiyarasan himself shared a special poster along with a link to the teaser of Thandakaaranyam and wrote, “A heart touched by love finds its truest self, even in the midst of chaos. The nearly two minute teaser of Thandakaaranyam opens to the voiceover of a woman narrating her story, “In this forest, whenever a girl is born, a root vegetable is born too. The one who brings it to you is the one for you. My grandmother, Iruchiamma, used to tell me that.”
The narration continues, “This forest is not only plants and trees, it holds our love as well. That is how my better half and I roamed like the wind, the rain, and the flowers. One day I was made to stand by this tree. To fetch the root for me, my better half went into the forest. He still has not returned.”
Actor Kalaiyarasan has essayed the role of a forest guard, while actor Attakathi Dinesh is said to have played a farmer in Thandakaaranyam. The star cast of Thandakaaranyam also includes actors Arul Doss, Vinsu Sam, Bala Saravanan, Muthukumar, Saranya Ravichandran, Yuvan Mayilsamy, and Shabeer Kallarakkal. Music director Justin Prabhakaran has scored music for the drama. Cinematographer Pratheep Kaliraja has operated cameras for the venture.
Editor R K Selva has been contracted to trim the entertainer. Art director T Ramalingam has erected sets for the project. Stunt masters A S Sudeshkumar, Stunner Sam, and Phoenix Prabu have choreographed action moves for the film. The entertainer is bankrolled by Pa Ranjith under his banner house Neelam Studios along with S Sai Venkateswaran and S Sai Devanand for the production house Learn and Teach Production.
On the work side, actor Kalaiyarasan will soon have consecutive releases in Bison crafted by Mari Selvaraj in which he has featured alongside actor Dhruv Vikram, Moondram Kan helmed by Sago Ganesan in which he has shared screen space with actors Vidhaarth, Santhosh Prathap, & Teju Ashwini, Mugam scripted by Sriram D Prasath, and his long-delayed film Titanic Kadhalum Kavundhu Pogum directed by M Janakiraman in which he has costarred with actress Anandhi.
On the other hand, actor Attakathi Dinesh is presently focused on his next project Vettuvam scripted by Pa Ranjith in which he will be seen alongside actors Arya, Ashok Selvan, and Sobhita Dhulipala. Beside this drama, the Oru Naal Koothu star has a couple of his long-delayed movies Therum Porum directed by Vikram Sugumaran, and Vaarayo Vennilave helmed by R Sasidharan in which he has joined forces with actresses Kavya M Shetty and Haripriya in the box awaiting release.
