Actor Arun Vijay is gradually building himself as a bankable lead hero of Tamil cinema. He has been carefully picking his movies to turn them into commercially successful ventures. The Chekka Chivantha Vaanam actor was last seen on screens in the action drama Yaanai which hit the theaters under the direction of Hari with actress Priya Bhavani Shankar in the female lead. Though the entertainer opened up to mixed reviews from the audience and critics it managed to do a decent business. The Mafia: Chapter 1 star has now moved on to his next project christened Sinam. Actress Palak Lalwani has played the female lead role in the movie. Director GNR Kumaravelan has helmed the drama. The project which went on floors sometime back is now in the post production undergoing final round of works for release.
Now, the production house has announced the release date of the entertainer. Actor Arun Vijay himself has shared the news on social media. Singam is poised to hit the screens on 16th of September this year. Taking to his official twitter account the actor shared a poster from the flick, and wrote, “Here it is! A story that needs to be told! Sinam releasing worldwide on Sept 16th.” Here is the post made by the actor.

In the poster shared by the actor, the actor looks smart with his clean shave and is seen taking a leap. Earlier there were talks that the production house is in plans to release the movie in one of the popular OTT video streaming platforms. But now the official confirmation has made it clear that Sinam will have a proper theoretical release. It is said that the entertainer will be an intense crime thriller. Apparently, one can expect the flick to be fast paced and action packed. Actor Arun Vijay is set to essay the role of a cop named Pari Venkat in the drama. The actor is donning the Khakhi once again after his superhit crime drama Kuttram 23.
Apart from actors Arun Vijay, and Pallak Lalwani, the casting department of the flick has veteran actor Vijay Kumar, Kaali Venkat, RNR Manohar, KSG Venkatesh, and Marumalarchi Bharathi playing various other supporting roles. The musical department of the entertainer has been handed over to music director Shabir who had previously composed the music for Sagaa. Lyricists Madhan Karky and Thamizhanangu have penned the lyrics for the drama. Cinematographer G Gopinath has been behind the lens for the flick. The editing department of the film has been taken care of by editor V. J. Sabu Joseph. Stunt Silva master has choreographed the action blocks for the flick. The project is produced by Vijay Kumar for the production house Movie Slides Pvt Ltd.
On the work front, actor Arun Vijay who was last seen on screens in the mass action masala film Yaanai is currently busy shooting for his upcoming project titled Boxer under the direction of story teller Vivek in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Ritika Singh. Apart from this venture, the actor has Agni Siragugal directed by film maker Naveen in which he has co starred with actress Akshara Haasan, and Borrder helmed by storyteller Arivazhagan Venkatachalam in which he has collaborated with actress Regina Cassandra, in various stages of post production getting fine-tuned for release.
