Actor Vishnu Vishal has been fighting hard for his place in the Tamil cinema industry for a long time. The actor was last seen on screens in the action thriller FIR which hit the screens under the direction of director Manu Anand with actress Reba Monica John in the female lead role. The entertainer opened up to mixed reviews and hence failed to bring in footfalls to theaters. The Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu actor has moved on, and is now busy shooting for his upcoming sports flick titled Gatta Kusthi. Director Chella Ayyavu is directing the movie. Malayalam actress Aishwarya Lekshmi will be seen in the female lead part. The drama which went on floors some time ago has now reached its final leg of shooting. The shooting for the venture was happening in full swing in Kerala. Now, we have news that the Kerala schedule has been wrapped.
Director Chella Ayyavu himself has shared the news on social media. The director’s birthday went by recently which he celebrated with the entire crew of Gatta Kusthi. Gatta Kusthi is touted to be based on a form of wrestling popular in Kerala of the same name. Sport movies generally get the attention of the audience quite easily. So has Gatta Kusthi which has added to the expectations on the flick. Gatta Kusthi marks the second time association of director Chella Ayyavu and Vishnu Vishal. The duo had previously come together for the comedy drama Silukkuvarpatti Singam. It is said that the production unit is in plans to wrap up the drama soon as they are eyeing to bring the flick to the theaters by the end of this year.
Apart from actors Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi, the casting of Gatta Kusthi has actors Kali Venkat, Munishkanth, Kingsley, Harish Peradi, Ajay, Shatru, and Karunaas essaying various other supporting roles. The music for the entertainer has been composed by musician Justin Prabhakaran. Cinematographer Richard M Nathan has shouldered the camera for the film. The entertainer has been handed over to editor Prasanna G K. Stunt coordinators Anbu and Arivu have choreographed the action sequences of the drama. The movie is bankrolled by superstar Ravi Teja under the production house RT Team Works along with actor Vishnu Vishal for his home banner Vishnu Vishal Studioz.
On the work front, actor Vishnu Vishal who was last seen on screens in the action thriller FIR is gearing up for the release of his upcoming flick Mohan Das helmed by director Murali Karthick in which he has shared the screen space with actress Aishwarya Rajesh. The Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran actor will soon begin to shoot for the sequel of his blockbuster venture Ratsasan under the direction of story teller Ram Kumar. Apart from these dramas, the actor has his long-delayed ventures Idam Porul Eval directed by film maker Seenu Ramasamy, and Veera Dheera Sooran which is filmed by storyteller Shankar Dayal in the shelves awaiting release.
