Veteran actor Sathyaraj was last seen on screens earlier this year in the Bollywood action film Sikandar crafted by A R Murugadoss with actors Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. The Thozhar Che Guevara star will have his next release in Kollywood via Madras Matinee in which he has portrayed the part of a writer named Jyoti Ramaya. Director Karthikeyan Mani has written and directed the movie. Actor Kaali Venkat has essayed a vital part in the film. Actress Roshni Haripriyan of Garudan fame has depicted the female lead role in the project. The venture was supposed to hit theaters on 23rd of May. But due to reasons best known to the makers it got indefinitely postponed. Now they have announced that the flick will be releasing in the month of June.
The production house has begun to promote the entertainer across all platforms. They had recently launched the title story video of the flick on social media. Now they have dropped the first single from the album. Taking to their official X profile, the production unit of Dream Warrior Pictures shared a link to the first single ‘Enna Da Polappu Idhu’ from Madras Matinee and captioned it, “In the mellifluous voice of Vadivelu – groove to a song that happily rants about daily life! Legendary comedy actor Vadivelu has lent his voice for the song. Lyricist S Snekan has penned lyrics for the track. Music composer K C Balasarangan has handled musical gears for the drama. He has also mixed and mastered the number. The title story clip which was released earlier this year showed actor Sathyaraj as a science fiction writer who talks about the monotonous nature of middle-class life. Apart from Sathyaraj, Kaali Venkat, and Roshni Haripriyan, the cast of Madras Matinee also has actors Bhanupriya, George Maryan, Madhumitha, Vishva, Chaams, Geetha Kailasam, Shelly, Archana Chandhoke, and Sunil Sukhada in various supporting characters.
Cinematographer G K Anand has taken care of the cinematography division of the venture. Editor Satheesh Kumar Samuski has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the flick. Art director Jacki has erected sets for the project. Stunt man Stunner Shyam has designed action moves for the movie. Madras Matinee is backed by M K Keyan for the production company Madras Motion Pictures. S R Prabhu and S R Prakash Babu are set to present the entertainer under the production label Dream Warrior Pictures.
On the work front, actor Sathyaraj is staring at a slew of releases in the much anticipated movie Coolie helmed by director Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he has co starred with actors Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra, & Shruti Haasan, Valli Mayil scripted by Suseenthiran in which he will be seen alongside actors Vijay Antony & Faria Abdullah, Vaa Vaathiyaar directed by story teller Nalan Kumarasamy in which he has shared screen space with actors Karthi, Krithi Shetty, & Shilpa Manjunath, Rowdy Baby helmed by storyteller J M Raja Saravanan in which he has performed alongside actresses Hansika Motwani, Sonia Agarwal, & Meena, and Jackson Durai 2 filmed by Dharanidharan in which he has teamed up with his son Sibiraj.
