Actress Aishwarya Rajesh has been a busy artist in K town with several flicks in her kitty. The Vada Chennai actress who had a last outing in Boomika is currently gearing up for the release of her next flick christened Driver Jamuna. The drama is directed by story teller P. Kinslin of Vathikuchi fame. The production unit had released the first look poster of the venture a couple of months back which piqued the interest of the audience. Now, the production house has unveiled the trailer of the flick on social media. Actor Sivakarthikeyan launched the trailer. Taking to his official twitter handle, the actor dropped the trailer of the movie, and wrote, “Happy to launch the trailer of Aishwarya Rajesh’s Driver Jamuna. The two minutes cut opens with actress Aishwarya Rajesh going about her daily routine as a cab driver. When a gang of men who are out to kill a politician join her ride things get topsy turvy for her. Earlier, talking to a leading media house about the film, film maker P. Kinslin said, “The drama will depict a series of events that transpires in a single day, and how that impacts the life of a woman cab driver. Actress Aishwarya Rajesh has given her best. As part of preparation for the role, she interacted with a bunch of real-life women cab drivers to get to know their gestures and learn from their experience.” Speaking about the performance of the actress, the director stated, “There were portions where she had to perform while she was driving the car. She managed to focus on driving without compromising on her performance. We had a couple of chasing sequences. We shot them live on the road. Without opting for a dupe, Aishwarya Rajesh did it herself. She stunned our stunt master Anal Arasu and the people on the sets.”
Apart from actress Aishwarya Rajesh, the casting department of the drama has actors Aadukalam Naren, Sri Ranjani, Kavitha Bharathi, Pandi, Abhishek Kumar, and Manikandan playing various other supporting roles. The music for the entertainer will be composed by music director Ghibran. Cinematographer Gokul Benoy has been behind the cameras for the flick. The editing department of the entertainer has been handed over to editor R. Ramar. The project is funded by S. P. Choudhary for his home banner 18 Reels.
On the work front, actress Aishwarya Rajesh who was last seen on screens in Tamil cinema in the action thriller Boomika is currently busy shooting for her upcoming Tamil venture christened Theeyavar Kulaigal Nadunga helmed by filmmaker Dinesh Lakshmanan in which she will be seen alongside actor Arjun Sarja, and for her Malayalam drama titled Pulimada under the direction of story teller A. K. Sajan in which she will be sharing the screen space with actor Joju George. Apart from these projects, the actress has The Great Indian Kitchen filmed by director R. Kannan with actor Rahul Ravindran in the lead, Mohandas scripted by director Murali Karthick in which she has co starred with actor Vishnu Vishal, and Dhruva Natchathiram filmed by auteur Gautham Vasudev Menon in which she has shared the screen space with actor Vikram in various stages of post-production shaping up for release.
