Director and actor Sundar C had last directed Aranmanai 3 with actor Arya in the lead. The movie did not do well in the box office as expected. The Anbe Sivam director has now moved to his next project, and is currently gearing up for the release of his next directorial titled Coffee With Kadhal. Director Sundar C is known to assemble an ensemble cast for his movies. Even Coffee With Kadhal has numerous artists on board with actors Jiiva and Jai riding the chariot. The project which went on floors some time back has finally been wrapped and is all set to hit the theaters. Recently, the production unit had announced that the movie will hit the theaters on 7th of October this year.
Now, the production unit has dropped the trailer of the drama on social media. Actor Jiiva himself has shared the trailer. The one-minute odd trailer cut gives us a colorful glimpse of two young men meeting multiple women trying to find a suitable life partner. Typically, like all Sundar C’s films, we have a large family, friendship, comedy, love, and pain. Director Sundar C has a track record of churning out entertaining family dramas high in comedy. Unlike his filmography, the trailer of Coffee With Kadhal hints at a feel-good romance drama flavored with comedy.
Writer K Selva Bharathy has written the dialogues for the entertainer. Apart from actors Jiiva and Jai, Coffee With Kadhal has actresses Malvika Sharma and Amritha Aiyer in the female lead roles. Tv anchor and actress Dhivyadharshini will return to K town with a vital part in the project. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja plays a guest role in Rum Bum song. The casting department of the flick has actors Srikanth, Raiza Wilson, Aishwarya Dutta, Samyuktha Shanmuganathan, Redin Kingsley, Yogi Babu, Vichu Vishwanath, Pratap Pothen, Aruna Balraj, Baby Vrithi, and M. J. Shriram essayed various other supporting roles.
Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja has handled the musical instruments for the movie. Cinematographer E. Krishnasamy has been behind the camera for the entertainer. Editor Fenny Oliver has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the project. The venture is produced by Khushbu Sundar along with A. C. S. Arun Kumar and A C Shanmugam under the banner house Avni Movies. Udhayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies has bagged the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the entertainer.
On the work front, actor Jiiva who was last seen on screen in Tamil in Kalathil Santhippom is currently busy shooting for his upcoming project titled Golmaal directed by storyteller teller Ponkumaran in which he has collaborated with actor Shiva, and for Varalaru Mukkiyam filmed by director Santhosh Rajan in which he will be romancing actress Kashmira Pardeshi. On the other hand, actor Jai who was last seen on screens in Yenni Thuniga is currently busy shooting for Breaking News under the direction of story teller Andrew Pandian in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Bhanu Sree, and for an untitled venture which is helmed by director Gopi Nainar. Besides these ventures, the actor has untitled projects with film makers Atlee, Robin Venkatesan, Suseenthiran, and Ramkumar Loganathan in his pipeline getting planned in the pre-production stage.
