Kavin And Nayanthara’s Hi Trailer: A Funny Love Story Full Of Laughs, Sweet Moments, And A Touch Of Heartbreak!
Actor Kavin Raj lastly entertained audiences in the action thriller flick Mask directed by debutant director Vikarnan Ashok with actress Andrea Jeremiah as female lead. The Bloody Beggar actor is now looking forward to the release of his upcoming romantic movie titled Hi. Lyricist Vishnu Edavan is set to test the waters at directing with this movie. Writer C U Muthuselvan has assisted in structuring the screenplay for the film.
Actress Nayanthara has played a character named ‘Devayani’ in the movie. Filming for Hi took place across several locations in Chennai, Chengalpattu, and Hyderabad. The entertainer was supposed to release on 14th of August. But due to unknown reasons it got pushed to 28th of August. The makers had recently released a couple of singles from the album on social media. They have now unveiled the trailer of the venture.
Taking to their official X profile, the team of Zee Studio South shared the trailer of “Hi ” and worded, “The wait is over! The HI Trailer is OUT NOW [Tamil]! Get ready to say HI to the world of Kavin & Nayanthara! Hi Movie. Mark your calendars for AUGUST 28 as the most heartwarming entertainer of the season arrives in theatres. Get ready for the fun-filled Hi, featuring Nayanthara and Kavin. A film directed by Vishnu Edavan. Music by Jen Martin. The nearly three minutes trailer of “Hi” begins with late actor Bhagyaraj telling Kavin, “Listen Mayil, men’s lives fall into three categories. One: love marriage. Two: fall in love after marriage. Three: not able to fall in love or get married. But lurking as a burden on earth.” The shot cuts to actor Kavin crying. Then he amusingly cries to his mom, “A girl rejected my proposal, mom.” She asks him, “Who dared to reject you? Does she peg herself as a beauty queen?”
In a scene actress Nayanthara tells Kavin, “The world is filled with so many conflicts. But you decided to die because a girl rejected you. Do you have any conscience?” He responds in a jiffy, “No.” She fumes, “Get lost, you mental.” Subsequently, in a comical scene, actor Kavin says, “We do not have to fear anyone. Let us tell them the truth. Devayani and I are in love with each other. I am pregnant with her child. I am 3 months pregnant.”
Then actor Bhagyaraj makes fun of Kavin, “Only the spectacles you wear are smaller than mine, but all other matters of yours are larger than life.” Following which he grumbles with his friend, “Devayani, whom I am in love with has become my wife without being in love with me. My lover who came home as a wife must truly love me and be my wife.”
The trailer ends with actor Kavin telling Kureshi, “Buddy, I have made an important decision. Do not be shocked.” He asks him, “Are you going abroad to venture into racing? Or else are you planning to start a political party?” Kavin denies. Then Kureshi says, “No way will I be shocked.”
The casting crew of Hi also comprises late actor Bhagyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Fepsi Vijayan, Kureshi, Mirchy Kemy, VTV Ganesh, Adithya Kadhir, Amrudha Srinivasan, Sathyan, and Kaviya Arivumani. Music composer Jen Martin has scored music for the flick. Hi is his fourth project with actor Kavin Raj following their superhit soundtracks in Dada, Bloody Beggar, and Kiss.
Three songs ‘Kannukuzhiya’ in the voice of G V Prakash Kumar, ‘Rasagulla’ in the vocals of Anirudh Ravichander, and ‘Pacha Pulla’ crooned by Sathya Narayanan lyrics penned by Ashique A R, is already out from the album. Director Vishnu Edavan himself has written lyrics for two numbers.
Cinematographer Rajesh Shukla has cranked cameras for the venture. Editor Philomin Raj has been contracted to chop and patch the flick. Art directors Kannan S and Sekar B have engineered the background for the drama. Stunt master Dinesh Kasi has designed action blocks in the project. “Hi” is backed by S S Lalit Kumar under the production label Seven Screen Studio, in affiliation with Nayanthara & Vignesh Shivan under the banner house Rowdy Pictures, along with Umesh Kumar Bansal for the production company Zee Studios.
On the professional side, actor Kavin Raj is now absorbed in his next film tentatively christened Kavin 09 directed by Ken Royson in which he will be featuring alongside actors Priyanka Arul Mohan & Sandy Master, Kavin 11 crafted by Praveen Paramasivam, and Per Sollum Pillai helmed by Ram Sangaiah in which he will be appearing alongside actors Sanjana & Bala Saravanan.
On the other hand, actress Nayanthara has four projects lined up for release in Mookuthi Amman 2 filmed by Sundar C in which she has associated with actresses Regina Cassandra & Abhinaya, Mannangatti directed by Dude Vicky in which she has costarred with actors Gouri G Kishan & Yogi Babu, a Malayalam movie Dear Students scripted by Sandeep Kumar & George Philip Roy in which she has performed with actor Nivin Pauly, and a Kannada film Toxic helmed by Geethu Mohandas in which she has romanced actor Yash.
