Actor Jiiva had his last outing in the likes of the romantic comedy movie Coffee With Kadhal which hit the theaters under the direction of film maker Sundar C with actors Jai, Malvika Sharma, and Amritha Aiyer. The entertainer opened to negative reviews from the critics and audience, and as a result ended up doing badly commercially. The Ko actor has put that behind him, and is now gearing up for the release of his next flick titled Varalaru Mukkiyam. Debutant director Santhosh Rajan has helmed the project. The entertainer which went on floors some time ago has been shot in and around the locations of Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, and Kerala.
Now, the production house has unveiled the trailer of the flick on social media along with the release date. Varalaru Mukkiyam is slated to hit the theaters on 9th of December. Actor Jiiva himself has shared the trailer. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor shared a poster from the movie along with a link to the trailer and wrote, “Enjoyable trailer from Varalaru Mukkiyam is here. The two-minute video cut opens with the voiceover of actor VTV Ganesh enouncing, “I must say one thing about you bro, in this world, does not matter who gets ruined, even if the whole family is damaged, forgetting everything the next moment and getting down to romance can be done by only two persons, one is James Bond and other is our brother (Jiiva).” In the visuals we witness actor Jiiva, a carefree young man coming around casually romancing actresses Kashmira Pardeshi, and Pragya Nagra. We even get a glimpse of the actor shaking his legs for a peppy number. The trailer ends with actor Jiiva asking VTV Ganesh, “There are two types of people in this world, good and bad, to which category do we belong.” To which VTV Ganesh says, “There are no such things. According to me, there are only two kinds. One, those who are caught (married), and those who are not (unmarried).”
Apart from actor Jiiva, Varalaru Mukkiyam has actresses Kashmira Pardeshi of Sivappu Manjal Pachai fame and Pragya Nagra essaying the female lead roles. The casting department of the drama has actors VTV Ganesh, K S Ravikumar, Motta Rajendran, Viji Ratheesh, Siddique, Saranya Ponvannan, Sha Ra, TSK, E Ramdoss, Swaminathan, Lollu Sabha Manohar, Kali Rajkumar, and Aadhirai Soundarajan playing various other supporting roles. Music director Shaan Rahman of Jimikki Kammal fame has composed the music for the film. Cinematographer Sakthi Saravanan has been behind the lens for the drama. The editing division of the flick has been handed over to editor N B Srikanth. The movie is funded by R B Choudary under the production house Super Good Films.
On the work front, actor Jiiva who was last seen on screens in the comedy drama Coffee With Kadhal is currently busy shooting for his upcoming venture titled Golmaal under the direction of story teller Pon Kumaran in which he will be sharing the screen space with actors Mirchi Shiva, Tanya Hope, and Payal Rajput. On the other hand, actress Kashmira Pardeshi who was last seen in Tamil in Anbarivu is currently busy shooting for her next Telugu project christened Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha directed by Murali Kishor Abburu in which she will be seen alongside actor Kiran Abbavaram. Apart from this venture, the actress has a couple of Tamil projects Paramporul helmed by film maker C Aravind Raj in which she has collaborated with actor Amitash Pradhan, and Vasantha Mullai filmed by Ramanan Purushothama in which she has romanced actor Bobby Simha in various stages of post-production shaping up for release.
