Actor Yogi Babu is one of the busiest artists in K town with several projects in his bag. The actor, quite efficiently swings between donning lead hero roles as well as essaying supporting roles. The Gurkha actor was last seen on screens in romantic comedy movie Coffee With Kadhal which hit the screens under the direction of director Sundar C. The entertainer opened to negative reviews from the critics and audience. But despite that it had a decent commercial success. The actor has now moved on, and is currently gearing up for the release of his next project christened Boomer Uncle which was earlier titled as Contractor Nesamani. Actor Robo Shankar will be seen in a pivotal role in the drama. Actress Oviya Helen has played the female lead part. The comedy drama has been penned and helmed by director Swadees M S.

The two minutes trailer of the flick opens in an eerie dilapidated bungalow, and cuts to a KGF spoof, of the scene where Deepa Hegde interviews Anand Ingalagi. A woman impersonated as Deepa Hegde asks a character, “Is everything said in the town true? What is there in that house?” The character mimicking Anand Ingalagi says, “Super heroes. Billa. Dawood.” The woman told him, “You went too far.” Then the character responds, “Oh you want to tell me from the beginning? Then you will have to come to the life of a 90’s kid.” Following it we have the introduction of Yogi Babu. We also witness actors Robo Shankar as Hulk, and Oviya Helen dressed up as Wonder Woman. The trailer hints at a laugh feast. Sony Liv OTT video streaming platform has bagged the rights of the drama. An official announcement regarding the release date of the entertainer is expected to be made soon.
Apart from actors Yogi Babu, Robo Shankar, and Oviya Helen, Boomer Uncle has actors M S Bhaskar, Bala, Tiger Thangadurai, Sona, and Madhu Sri in various other supporting roles. Music director Dharma Prakash will be composing the music for the flick. Cinematographer Subash Dhandapani has been behind the lens for the drama. Editor S Elayaraja will be editing the entertainer. The venture is bankrolled by Anbu under the production company Olympia Movies along with Karthik K Thillai for the production house AVS Entertainments.

Besides these ventures, the actor has Naane Varuven scripted by director Selvaraghavan in which he has collaborated with actor Dhanush, Ayalaan scripted by storyteller R. Ravikumar in which he has co starred with actor Sivakarthikeyan, Takkar filmed by storyteller Karthik G in which he has co starred with actor Siddharth, and ThalaiNagaram 2 directed by film maker V Z Dhorai in which he has co starred with actor Sundar C in various stages of post-production getting fine-tuned for release.
