Actor Vishnu Vishal has not delivered a solid commercial success after his blockbuster Ratsasan, and has been fighting to keep his successful commercial hero image in the industry. The Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu actor was last seen on screens in the action thriller FIR which hit the theaters under the direction of story teller Manu Anand with actress Reba Monica John as female lead. The movie had a mixed reaction among the critics and audience. Thus, it had a dull box office collection. The actor has now put that behind him, and is now gearing up for the release of his next sports flick christened Gatta Kusthi. Story teller Chella Ayyavu has helmed the flick. The movie which went on floors some time ago has now been wrapped with its final Kerala schedule shoot. Now, we have news about the first look poster launch of the movie.
Actor Vishnu Vishal himself has shared the news on social media. The first look poster of Gatta Kusthi is set to be unveiled on 2nd of November. Taking to his official twitter page, actor Vishnu Vishal shared a poster from the flick and wrote, “The game is about to begin! Gatta Kusthi is touted to be based on a form of wrestling popular in Kerala of the same name. Sport flicks usually fall into people’s attention without much promotion. Gatta Kusthi is not any different. Director Chella Ayyavu and actor Vishnu Vishal have teamed up for the second time for a project after their comedy drama Silukkuvarupatti Singam. There are reports that the production team is keen to release the entertainer for Christmas this year.
Apart from actor Vishnu Vishal, Gatta Kusthi has Malayalam actress Aishwarya Lekshmi essaying the female lead role. The casting division of the drama includes actors Kali Venkat, Munishkanth, Kingsley, Harish Peradi, Ajay, Shatru, and Karunaas playing various other supporting parts. Music director Justin Prabhakaran has composed the music for the entertainer. Cinematographer Richard M Nathan has cranked the camera for the film. Editor Prasanna G K will be taking care of the editing department. Stunt masters Anbu and Arivu have choreographed the action blocks of the venture. The project is funded by Tollywood superstar Ravi Teja for his home banner RT Team Works along with actor Vishnu Vishal under the production label Vishnu Vishal Studioz.
On the work front, actor Vishnu Vishal who had his last outing in the action thriller FIR is getting ready for a consecutive release in the likes of Mohan Das directed by Murali Karthick in which he will be seen alongside actress Aishwarya Rajesh, and Idam Porul Eval directed by story teller Seenu Ramasamy in which he has co starred with actor Vijay Sethupathi. The Silukkuvarupatti Singam actor will soon begin to shoot for the sequel of his blockbuster film Ratsasan which is set to be directed by Ram Kumar. Besides these projects, the actor has his long-delayed drama Veera Dheera Sooran which is helmed by Shankar Dayal in the box waiting to see the daylight.
On the other hand, actress Aishwarya Lekshmi who was last seen on screens in Tamil in the epic historical drama Ponniyin Selvan is currently busy shooting for the sequel of the project under the direction of Mani Ratnam, and for two of her Malayalam ventures titled Christopher helmed by director B. Unnikrishnan in which she will be collaborating with actor Mammootty, and King of Kotha scripted by film maker Abhilash Joshiy in which she will be seen alongside actor Dulquer Salmaan.
