Dulquer Salmaan’s I’M Game Trailer: An Exploration Into The Mind Of A Gambler, The Thrill Of Risk & The Perilous Allure Of Betting!
Actor Dulquer Salmaan had his last outing in Kollywood in the period crime thriller movie Kaantha helmed by Selvamani Selvaraj with actress Bhagyashri Borse as female lead. The O Kadhal Kanmani actor is now getting ready for the release of his upcoming Tamil Malayalam bilingual action thriller flick I’m Game. Malayalam director Nahas Hidhayath is set to make his debut as a director in Tamil cinema with the drama.
Writers Vasanth Adarsh Sukumaran, Shabas Rasheed, and Sajeer Baba have written dialogues for the drama. Creators Sajeer Baba, Bilal Moidu, and Ismail Aboobacker have helped shape the flow of the film. Actress Kayadu Lohar has played the female lead role in the movie. I’m Game is poised to release in theaters worldwide on 20th of August. Meanwhile, the makers have now released the trailer of the entertainer on social media.
Taking to his official X handle, actor Dulquer Salmaan himself shared a special poster along with a link to the trailer of I’m Game and wrote, “High stakes. Zero mercy. The nearly three minutes trailer of I’m Game opens to the voiceover of actor Dulquer Salmaan, “I have heard someone say our life is a gamble played between God and Satan. The history of gambling is as old as mankind itself. When some rise, some fall. From the pauper who lost his home to the king who lost his kingdom and palace. There is one secret that every loser fails to grasp. The greatest secret of gambling. They all believe in luck. This is a pure algorithm.”
Following which we have a character saying, “From cabinet ministers to multimillionaires, they are all players here.” The voiceover of actor Dulquer Salmaan continues, “There are many kinds of betting here. But sports betting is different. Every team has a pattern. If you can crack that, the game is easily predictable.” Then we have a dashing intro of Dulquer Salmaan who says, “I am chaos in a tailored suit.”
In a scene actress Kayadu Lohar tells Dulquer Salmaan, “Dan, please stop. I have only ever seen you as a patient.” The shot cuts to actor Dulquer Salmaan saying, “I am the ghost at the table. I am the last card they never saw. Whether it is gambling or life, there is a principle you must never forget. Never give up. I am going to settle everyone.” Then we have actor Kathir advising Dulquer Salmaan, “Do not overthink and get confused. This is just freaking entertainment.”
Apart from Dulquer Salmaan, and Kayadu Lohar, the casting team of I’m Game also has actors Samyuktha Viswanathan, Mysskin, Antony Varghese Pepe, Kathir, Vinay Forrt, Sandy, Shree Tej S K, Aadam, Parth Tiwari, Anshif D P, and Anand Krishnan in various supporting characters. Music director Jakes Bejoy has handled musical gear for the movie. Cinematographer Jimshi Khalid has been behind camera for the flick.
Editor Chaman Chakko has been roped in to edit the entertainer. Art director Ajayan Chalissery has fashioned sets for the project. Action directors Anbu and Arivu have choreographed action moves in the film. I’m Game is backed by Dulquer Salmaan himself along with Jom Varghese under the production company Wayfarer Films.
On the work front, actor Dulquer Salmaan is anticipating back-to-back releases in Telugu cinema via Aakasamlo Oka Tara helmed by Pavan Sadineni in which he has collaborated with actresses Satvika Veeravalli & Shruti Haasan, and Sri Sri directed by Ravibabu Nelakuditi in which he will be seen alongside actress Pooja Hegde. The Hey Sinamika actor is currently busy shooting for his future Malayalam drama Lokah Chapter 2 crafted by Dominic Arun in which he will be joining forces with actors Kalyani Priyadarshan & Tovino Thomas.
On the other hand, actress Kayadu Lohar will next be seen on screen in Tamil in Immortal filmed by Mariyappan Chinna in which she has featured with actor G V Prakash Kumar. The actress is now occupied in her next Tamil venture provisionally titled Suriya 48 created by T J Gnanavel in which she will be costarring with actor Suriya, Manjanathi directed by Mari Selvaraj in which she will be associating with actors Kathir & Priyanka Arulmohan, a Malayalam flick Thaaram scripted by Vinay Govind in which she will be teaming up with actors Nivin Pauly & Nikhila Vimal, and a Telugu project The Paradise crafted by Srikanth Odela in which she will be performing with actor Nani.
