As we all know actor Dhanush is a multi-facet actor. He can sing, write lyrics and direct the movie and he is a known producer too. The Actor was last seen in young and promising director Arun Madheshwaran’s directorial venture “ Captain Miller ” produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. The movie was released with widespread expectations but failed to live up to it. The actor directed his first movie “Paa Pandi” in 2017 starring Raj Kiran in the lead role. The movie was critically acclaimed and has won a Filmfare award for Best Director-Tamil. Now the latest buzz is that the actor is back again in the direction zone. Titled as “Raayan”, the first look poster of the movie was released yesterday and generated buzz in the town.
Dhanush was seen in a fierce avatar holding a knife. Sandeep Kishan and Kalidas Jayaram are also carrying a similar knife and standing beside him. The movie has got an interesting star cast and technical crew. Made in the North Madras backdrop, the movie has SJ Suryah, Aparna Balamurali, and Dushara Vijayan doing pivotal roles. Shooting for this much-hyped film began in July last year. Sun Pictures is bankrolling the project and Isai Puyal AR Rahman is taking care of music. Peter Hein is taking care of stun choreography and OM Prakash is doing the camera work. Prasanna GK is doing the editing for the movie. Interestingly the movie marks Dhanush’s 50th outing in the film industry.
He debuted in his father’s directorial venture “Thulluvatho Ilamai” released in 2001. After this, there is no stopping for this talented Actor who has done various roles in his career spanning over 23 years. “Raayan” is expected to hit the screens in the second half of this year. The title and first-look poster for the movie were released in English, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Considering the cast of Kalidas Jayaram and Sandeep Kishan the movie team is eyeing for Pan India release. Despite this, the actor has got yet another directorial venture “Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam”. He is introducing his sister’s son in this project and he is also producing this project under his banner Wunderbar Films. Shooting has been completed for both the movies and post-production work is going in full swing.
