Actor G V Prakash Kumar had a release earlier this year in the fantasy horror adventure movie Kingston helmed by Kamal Prakash with actress Divyabharathi as female lead. The 100% Kadhal star will soon have yet another release in the upcoming thriller drama Blackmail. Director Mu Maran, who has previously directed films like Iravukku Aayiram Kangal and Kannai Nambathe, has penned and helmed the entertainer.
Actresses Teju Ashwini and Bindu Madhavi have essayed the female lead roles in the drama. Actor Srikanth is said to have played the antagonist part in the flick. The makers have already publicized that the entertainer will hit the screens worldwide on 1st of August.
The production house has begun to promote the flick across all platforms. As part of it, they have now launched the trailer of the flick on social media. Taking to his official X account, actor Dhanush dropped the trailer of Blackmail, and captioned it, “Here is the Blackmail trailer for you all . . . best of luck my brother.” Here is the post made by the actor.
Two minute trailer of Blackmail opens to actor G V Prakash Kumar being apprehended by cops to his voiceover, “Do you know what this society is teaching us? Do not believe anyone. Cheat everyone. Learn to be selfish. Do not worry about those who have been deceived. Betray, kill, rob . . . The society that teaches all these will never take responsibility.”
In a scene we witness actor G V Prakash Kumar saying to Ramesh Thilak, “Dude, he does not look like a good man.” To which he responds, “Why would a good man come to us? Try borrowing 500 bucks from the good man you say, you will realize the world then.” In another shot we see a character mouthing, “There is no wrong or right here man. Do we need it or not is all that matters.” The trailer ends with actor G V Prakash Kumar uttering, “Can we hide the murder weapon elsewhere?”
Recently in the audio launch function of the movie producer Amalraj said, “If there is one individual I must thank for the completion of Blackmail, it is G V Prakash Kumar. We ran into financial trouble with eight days of shooting left. I did not know what to do. I approached him and broached the issue with him. He agreed to forgo fifty percent of his salary without hesitation. He completed the shoot and is here today with us. I cannot imagine any other artist doing it today. I will be indebted to him forever.”
Apart from G V Prakash Kumar, Teju Ashwini, Bindu Madhavi, and Srikanth, the casting crew of the project also has actors Ramesh Thilak, Redin Kingsley, Vettai Muthukumar, Hari Priya, Linga, Tamil Shaji, and Girija Hari in various supporting roles. Music director Sam C S has handled musical instruments for the drama.
Cinematographer Gokul Benoy has worked on the cinematography division of the project. Editor San Lokesh has been tasked with editing the flick. Art director S J Ram has engineered sets for the film. Action director Rajasekar has designed action moves for the movie. The project is bankrolled by Deivakani Amalraj for the production label JDS Film Factory.
On the work front, actor G V Prakash Kumar will next be seen on screens in Adangathey scripted by story teller Shanmugam Muthuswamy in which he has romanced actress Surbhi Chandra. The Rebel actor is presently focused on his future ventures Idi Muzhakkam filmed by Seenu Ramasamy in which he will be collaborating with actress Gayathrie, Mental Manadhil crafted by auteur Selvaraghavan in which he will be performing alongside actress Madhuri Jain, and 13 directed by Vivek K Kannan in which he will be teaming up with actors Bhavya Trikha, Aadya Prasad, and Gautham Vasudev Menon.
