Ashok’s Vadamanjuvirattu Trailer: A Carefree Man Embraces The Traditional Bull Taming Sport To Salvage His Village’s Dignity!

Actor Ashok Kumar last graced the silver screens in the action thriller movie Thiraivi created by Karthi Dakshinamoorthy with actress Ashna Zaveri in the female lead role. The Are You Ok Baby? actor is now getting ready for the release of his next action thriller film Vadamanjuvirattu. Debutant director Sangili CPA has written and directed the flick. Actress Yazhini Murugan of Aanthai fame has depicted the female lead role in the drama. 

The shoot for the project took place in several locations in Dindigul district. The production house is eyeing to bring the flick to theaters in the month of August. An official date for the release of the venture is expected to be announced soon. Meanwhile, the makers have already begun to promote the film. As part of it, they have now shared the trailer of the entertainer on social media. 

Taking to their official X account, the team of Trend Music unveiled a special poster along with a link to the trailer of Vadamanjuvirattu and wrote, “Witness the rise. Vadamanjuvirattu Trailer is Out now on Youtube! Produced by – Alagar Pictures. Directed by – Sangili CPA. Music by – Mukesh Munusamy Starring – Ashok, Yazhini Murugan. Executive producer – Dinesh. The three minutes trailer of Vadamanjuvirattu begins to a shot of bull taming to the voiceover, “This is our traditional sport. If we refrain from playing it, we will be embarrassed in front of them once again.” We have the intro of actor Ashok Kumar who indulges in gravity defying stunts. The scene shifts to an actor saying, “Destroy all the traditions of Tamil people one by one. Then there will not be any trace for the existence of such a race.” 

In a shot actor Ashok Kumar delivers a punch dialogue, “We do not exist to serve the government. It is the government that exists for us.” Following which we have the intro of actress Yazhini Murugan who warns a crowd, “Won’t you be quiet? If you do not, I will smash you people.” Then a woman tells her, “If you keep wearing men’s shirts, who will marry you?” She responds, “If you worry so much, then marry me you son.” 

Subsequently, Ashok Kumar’s mother tells him, “If you keep fighting for the village and spend time playing the bull taming sport, you will ruin your life.” Following which Yazhini Murugan also advises him, “You must stop playing the bull taming sport; no one who used to play it is alive today.” The trailer ends with actor Ashok Kumar denouncing, “Either victory or a brave death. If neither it is death too.” 

Apart from Ashok Kumar and Yazhini Murugan, the star cast of the film also includes actors Kalaiyarasan, Namo Narayanan, Pandi, Sketch Karthik, and Fine John essaying various supporting characters. Music director Mukesh Munusamy has worked on the musical division of the movie. Cinematographer Easwaren Karthikeyan has taken care of the cinematography department of the entertainer. 

Editor SSK has been brought on board to bring coherence to the drama. Art director RKM has engineered the background for the film. Action master Mirattal Selva has fashioned action moves in the movie. The venture is backed by Puthugai A Palanisamy along with Dinesh Babu Sekar under the production house Alagar Pictures. 

On the work front, actor Ashok Kumar is currently busy shooting for his next Tamil drama titled Adrishya filmed by story teller Sudheer Attavar in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Hemangini and Rakesh Adiga.
