Actor Arjun Sarja was last seen on screens in the action thriller flick Theeyavar Kulai Nadunga directed by Dinesh Lakshmanan with actress Aishwarya Rajesh as female lead. The Aghathiyaa actor is now gearing up for the release of his next Tamil Kannada bilingual action thriller Blast. Debutant director Subash K Raj, former assistant of Pradeep Ranganathan who worked as an AD in Love Today, has penned and crafted the entertainer.
Veteran actress Abhirami has played the role of actor Arjun’s wife in the movie. Actress Preity Mukhundhan of Star fame has essayed the role of their daughter in the project. Blast is poised to hit theaters worldwide on 28th of May. The production house had recently shared the first single from the album on social media. They have now unveiled the trailer of the entertainer.

The two minute trailer of Blast opens to the voiceover of actor Arjun Sarja, “When something wrong happens somewhere, the victim does not have to be someone we know. Every injustice must be confronted.” In visuals we see a bunch of dead bodies lined up on the floor, people being beaten up and tortured.
The shot cuts to a dark room with many people counting money using a machine. A character says, “This money is for a very important deal. I cannot think of anyone else to do this perfectly.” Subsequently, we have a dazed cop suspecting, “Now that he is back something big is going to happen.” A constable informs his senior officer, “Sir, I have blocked all the checkpoints. He could not have gotten out of Chennai.”
In a scene we witness a gangster asking one of his members, “What if she tells them everything in detail?” He responds, “Let us not risk it. Kill those three.” One of the henchmen who are sent to kill Arjun and his family, informs his boss, “I asked around, bro. It is just her and her parents. Dad is just a headmaster. Her mother is a tailor. All three of them are now at home. They are just a boring family.”
Meanwhile, we are shown that the family members are active karate practitioners. The trailer ends with a character warning the villain, “You think it is game over once you kill me? There is another guy, more powerful than me. He will definitely come for you.” The ensemble cast of the flick also features actors John Kokken, Pawan, Bala Hasan, Vivek Prasanna, Dileepan, Vinod Sagar, Arjun Chidambaram, and S Rajapandi.
Kannada music director Ravi Basrur has been hired to score music for the movie. A single titled ‘The Rage’ in the voice of Rohith Siddappa, lyrics of Chethan Handattu, is already out from the album. Cinematographer Arun Radhakrishnan has shouldered camera for the drama.
Editor Pradeep E Ragav has been contracted to chop and patch the entertainer. Art director Veeramani Ganesan has erected sets for the movie. Stunt master Phoenix Prabu has fashioned action moves for the venture. Blast is bankrolled by Kalpathi S Ganesh, Kalpathi S Aghoram, and Kalpathi S Suresh under the banner house AGS Entertainment.
On the work front, actress Preity Mukhundhan will soon have a release in Tamil via Idhayam Murali helmed by Aakash Baskaran & Senthil Kumar Kesavan in which she has costarred with actor Atharva Murali, and a Hindi drama Naagzilla directed by Mrighdeep Lamba in which she has partnered with actor Kartik Aaryan. The actress is presently occupied in her next film tentatively christened AS 23 scripted by Karthikeyan Ramakrishnan in which she will be featuring alongside actor Ashok Selvan, Dashamakan filmed by Vineeth Varaprasad in which she will be romancing actor Harish Kalyan, and a Telugu venture Emo Emo Idi crafted by Sailesh Kolanu in which she will be teaming up with actor Roshann Meka.
On the other hand, actress Abhirami is now engaged in her upcoming untitled flick helmed by Chinnasamy Ponnaiah in which she will be joining forces with actors Gautham Ram Karthik and Ananthika Sanilkumar.
