A Sleek Intro Of S J Suryah As ‘Bodhi’ In Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 Has Arrived!
Actor Rajinikanth was last seen on screens in the action thriller drama Coolie helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj with actors Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. The Padayappa actor is now looking forward to the release of his upcoming action-comedy flick Jailer 2. Director Nelson Dilipkumar, who directed the first part of the franchise, has also written and crafted the second installment. Actress Ramya Krishnan has reprised her role as actor Rajinikanth’s onscreen wife in the sequel.
Actor S J Suryah is said to have played the antagonist in the movie. The entertainer was shot in several areas across Chennai, Coimbatore, Kozhikode, Palakkad, Attappadi, Mysore, and Goa. Jailer 2 is all set to release in theaters worldwide on 15th of October in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. The production house had recently shared the first single from the album. They have now released a character introduction video on social media.
Taking to their official X timeline, the team of Sun Pictures dropped the character introduction video of actor S J Suryah from Jailer 2 and captioned it, “Introducing S J Suryah as Bodhi from the world of Jailer 2. Rajinikanth, Nelson Dilipkumar, Anirudh Ravichander, S J Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vijay Kartik Kannan, R Nirmal, Chethan D ’Souza, Jani, D R K Kiran, Pallavi Singh, Suren, Alagiakoothan S, Santhosh Raju, Sivam C Kabilan, Kuchirayar, Riaz K Ahmed, Jailer 2 From Oct 15.” Here is the post made by the production unit.
The 30-second odd character introduction video begins with a shot through a window capturing the arrival of an automobile. Then a voiceover introduces actor S J Suryah’s character, “Hey, do you even know his name? Bodhi, Bodhi Kalpak.” The shot shifts to actor S J Suryah, who is seen donning sunglasses and a white V-neck tee, getting out of the car and taking a chic stroll.
The star-studded cast of Jailer 2 also includes Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vidya Balan Yogi Babu, Mirnaa Menon, Bagavathi Perumal, Kottayam Nazeer, Sujith Shanker, Ramachandran Durairaj, Abhishek Mishra, Namo Narayana, Bjorn Surrao, Vineeth Thattil David, Jatin Sarna, Saravana Vel, Anna Rajan, Rithu Rocks Rithvik, Hakim Shahjahan, Praveen Gadkar, Sunil Sukhada, and Tamizh. Top stars from different film industries Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Hrithik Roshan, Jackie Shroff, Mithun Chakraborty, Vijay Sethupathi, and Vinayakan are said to have made cameo appearances in the movie.
Music director Anirudh Ravichander has orchestrated the musical score for the movie. He reunites with actor Rajinikanth for their sixth project after their sensational hits in Petta, Darbar, Jailer, Vettaiyan, and Coolie. Already an item number ‘Ala Bolelo’ in the voice of Anirudh Ravichander lyrics penned by Arunraja Kamaraj, is out from the album.
Cinematographer Vijay Kartik Kannan has taken care of the cinematography department of the entertainer. Editor R Nirmal has been brought on board to work on the editing division of the film. Art director D R K Kiran has built sets for the drama. Stunt director Chethan D’Souza has choreographed action moves in the flick. Jailer 2 is funded by Kalanithi Maran under the production label Sun Pictures.
On the work side, actor Rajinikanth is presently occupied in his future project Dharman helmed by Ashwath Marimuthu in which he will be joining forces with actors Simran, Raashii Khanna, & Yogi Babu. Apart from this film, the Kabali actor will star in the industry’s most buzzed-about movie, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, which will have him reunite with actor Kamal Hassan after nearly five decades.
On the other hand, actor S J Suryah will soon have his next Tamil release in Iravaakaalam scripted by Ashwin Saravanan in which he has associated with actors Wamiqa Gabbi, Sshivada, & Sharath Ravi. The Sardar 2 actor is now absorbed in his next venture Bro Club created by Karthik Yogi in which he will be seen alongside actors Ravi Mohan, Shraddha Srinath, & Sri Gouri Priya, Killer crafted and headlined by himself with actress Preethi Asrani as the female lead, and a Telugu flick Adhira filmed by Sharan Koppisetty in which he will be collaborating with actor Kalyan Dasari.
