Karthi and Nagarjuna Akkineni did lead roles for the project Thozha. Telugu version was named as ‘Oopiri’. This project is an official remake of French movie ‘The Intouchables’. Tamannaah paired with Karthi for the third time. The movie was already labelled as blockbuster and it is still minting money at Box-office.
The project is directed by Vamsi Padipally and Prasad.V.Potluri produces the project under his banner PVP Cinemas. ‘Bangalore Days’ fame Gopi Sundar composed tunes.
Right now the movie goes to Hindi and Karan Johar has grabbed the rights of the movie for a whopping price. The producer cum director never revealed who will reprise role of Nagarjuna and Karthi. However the shooting for the Hindi version will begin soon. It would be interesting to see who will be doing the lead roles
