Nadigar Sangam Aka South Indian Artist Association is the union for the welfare of Tamil Artists. There has been a long-standing issue related to its building and functioning. Newly elected council members headed by veteran actor Naser have planned to build the building construction in 2016 but have faced both financial and legal issues and couldn’t proceed further. After being elected for a second tenure Naser’s team is keen on constructing the building. On the eve of raising funds, members are collecting donations from various artists across the industry.
The team headed by General Secretary Vishal and Karthi are meeting the artist and asking for donations. Recently they met veteran actor Kamal Hassan and collected the cheque of one crore rupees. Yesterday they met Thalapthy Vijay to seek Donation. The actor-turned-politician has donated one crore rupees from his personal fund. Vishal announced this on his Social Media handle Twitter and thanked him for this kind gesture.

He added, “Yes we always knew the building would be incomplete without your support and involvement. Now you have fuelled us to make it happen as soon as possible brother. #NandriNanba your style @actorvijay”. On the work front, Vijay is currently shooting for his upcoming flick “GOAT” directed by Venkat Prabhu. Details about his next project remain unknown. On the other hand, Vishal is currently shooting for “Rathnam” and gearing up to resume shooting for “Thupparivalan 2“. The movie “Raththam” is all set to hit screens this summer.
