Ace Actor Surya has got interesting line-ups under his belt. The national award-winning actor has recently finished dubbing for his highly anticipated upcoming flick “Kanguva” directed by Siruthai Siva and bankrolled by UTV and Studio Green Entertainment. The project has been made on a huge budget and is expected to get a Pan India Release later this year or early 2025. The shooting for the movie has been wrapped and Surya has completed his dubbing this week. He is gearing up for his next project directed by Sudha Kongara.
The movie marks the second outing for actor-director Duo after the blockbuster success of “Soorarai Pottru” released in 2020. Though the movie got a direct OTT release movie has been well-released by the audience and Surya has bagged the National Award for Best Actor 2020. Surya 43 tentatively titled “Poorananooru” shooting for the movie is going to get a kickstart from Madurai next week. A small portion of the project is about to be filmed at American College before flying to Haryana and Chidambaram for the rest of the shooting. Sudha Kongara reveals that unlike “Soorarai Pottru” the movie is not a biography but derived from real-life incidents.
Touted as the gangster movie, the story is made on a revenge backdrop. The movie has Dulquer Salman, Nazriya Nazeem and Vijay Verma playing crucial roles. G.V. Prakash is handling the music part. The movie marks the ace Telugu actor Vijay Verma making his debut in the Tamil film Industry. Ace Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is expected to do a cameo followed by Aditi Shankar. The story also demands Surya to play as a college student so he is undergoing a rigorous transformation to fit into that role. Like “Kanguva ” this move is expected to get a Pan India release. The project is bankrolled by Surya’s 2D Entertainment.
