Actor Vijay Sethupathi who has been a busy artist in Kollywood made his debut in Mollywood this year with the drama Marconi Mathai costarring with veteran actor Jayaram and is set to make his debut in the Telugu cinema industry with the historical drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy alongside veteran actor Chireenjeevi. The actor is mountaineering at a rapid speed from a lead Tamil hero to the stature of a leading South Indian cinema star. The actor who had a not so good last outing with his action entertainer Sindhubaadh is gearing up for the release of his next project titled as Sanga Thamizhan. Now the production unit has unveiled the trailer of the flick on social media.
The teaser of the movie which hit the internet last month gave us a glimpse of how high on action the entertainer will be. Now the trailer has assured the fact that the film will be an out and out commercial mass masala entertainer which is set to have actor Vijay Sethupathi in a mass role. The actor plays the character with the name M. G. Ramachandran which is more than enough to begin with the glorification factor. And off course it also has all necessary commercial elements there are flying fists, colorful songs, and comical relief in the likes of Soori. The film is said to have a contemporary socially relevant message delivered in a loud tone. The expectation created by the teaser of the flick is further upped by the trailer of the venture.
The mass action entertainer is scripted and helmed by story teller Vijay Chander of sketch fame. And according to sources the production unit has plans to release the movie on 2nd of October this year. This is a great news for the fans of the actor as they might be able to catch the drama on the first day of its release as 2nd of October is Gandhi Jayanthi, which is a national holiday. Actresses Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Pethuraj will be romancing actor Vijay Sethupathi in the movie. Apart from them the casting unit of the venture also has Nassar, Sriman, Ashutosh Rana, John Vijay and Soori depicting various other pivotal roles. The musical department of the entertainer has been handed over to the musical duo Vivek and Mervin of Gulaebaghavali fame. While cinematographer R. Velraj has cranked the camera for the drama, editor K. L. Praveen has taken care of the editing department of the family entertainer. The motion picture is produced by Bharathi Reddy under the banner Vijaya Productions.
On the Professional front, the actor is currently busy shooting for his next social drama titled as Laabam under director S. P. Jananathan with actress Shruthi Hassan in the female lead role and also for Kadaisi Vivasayi which is helmed by director M. Manikandan. Besides these projects the actor has Maamanithan, Idam Porul Yaeval in Tamil and Uppena in Telugu.
