Actress Keerthi Pandian was last seen on screens in the romantic comedy entertainer Konjam Pesinaal Yenna which hit theaters under the direction of Giri Murphy with actor Vinoth Kishan in the lead role. The Blue Star actress is now gearing up for the release of her upcoming film christened Akkenam. She has played the part of a cab driver that goes by the name Indira in the venture.
Debutant story teller Uday K, who is known for the critically acclaimed short ‘Yakkai Thiri’, has penned and helmed the movie. Writer Saravana Kumar has written dialogues for the film. Arun Pandian, veteran actor and father of Keerthi Pandian, has essayed a key part in the flick. The production house has already announced that the flick will be releasing worldwide in theaters on 4th of July.
The production house has now launched the trailer of the venture on social media. Taking to their official X handle, the production team of A & P Groups unveiled a special poster from the movie along with a link to the trailer of Akkenam and captioned it, “Akkenam – Three forces. One battlefield. Trailer out now. Arun Pandian, Keerthi Pandian, A & P Groups, Kavitha Pandian, Adithya Shivpink, M V Namritha, Udayakumar, Vignesh Govindarajan, Praveen Raja, Devathyan.” Here is the post made by the production unit.

Two minute trailer of Akkenam starts with a child’s voiceover asking, “Tell me the truth mom?” Actress Keerthi Pandian responds, “I did not take it intentionally. I got it by accident.” The scene cuts to someone saying, “He is a hurt psycho now. He will not consider it even if it is a child. He will kill it.” We then have someone wishing Keerthi Pandian on women’s day through a radio network.
Then we witness a cop advising Keerthi Pandian, “Just think about it. The girl’s life is involved in this. Even you can land in trouble.” Following which we have actor Arun Pandian informing Keerthi Pandian via a phone call, “You do not know me. But I know who you are, and what happened on 9th of march.” Then we have a character warning, “I have a feeling that the one who left it, the trouble it caused, all are coming to haunt you.”
Subsequently we have a shot where actor Ramesh Tilak tells someone, “Here, you will not get it, if you ask for it. You will have to thrash people to get it.” In a scene we see a child saying, “Just like I told you my Indira will never do something wrong.” The trailer ends with a chic shot of actor Arun Pandian riding a bullet.
Earlier explaining about the title of the entertainer to a popular media house, story teller Uday K said, “Akkenam translates to ‘Aayutha Ezhuthu’. That is why we have used the letter with three symbolic dots in the title. It also signifies the three central characters around which the drama revolves, and the aspect of revenge that connects them together. Akkenam is an action revenge thriller with a tight and pacy screenplay.”
Apart from Keerthi Pandian and Arun Pandian, the casting unit of the drama also has actors Adithya Shivpink, G M Sundar, Praveen Raja, Ramesh Thilak, Seetha, and Adithya Menon portraying various supporting roles. Music director Barath Veeraraghavan has been engaged to compose music for the film. Cinematographer Vignesh Govindarajan has operated camera gears for the drama.
Editor Devathyan has been bestowed with the responsibility to trim the movie. Art director Raja has designed the background for the project. Stunt master P C Stunts has choreographed action moves for the flick. The entertainer is produced by Arun Pandian along with Saravana Kumar and A K Sekar under his home label A & P Groups.
