Actor Kamal Hassan’s Indian 2 was announced way back in 2017. Directed by Shankar the movie has seen long-standing delays and finally gearing up for release this year. The latest update about the project is the shooting is all set to get wrapped up. The final leg of the shooting is underway and currently shooting a song sequence involving Siddharth and Priya Bhavani Shankar. The team crew confirmed that this is their final schedule and post-production has already commenced. The movie involves lots of VFX work so Lyca Productions has hired big names in the industry to undertake such a massive work.

Director Shankar started with Indian 2 and once the shooting was completed there was lots of leftover footage so the movie team decided to use them along with new footage and make another sequel Indian 3. So now the shooting for both movies is near completion. Indian 2 is expected to hit the screens later this year by early next year. Indian 3 will follow the release date accordingly. Anirudh is composing the music and has got a full star cast including Kajal Agarwal, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shanker, late actors Vivek, Marimuthu, Mayil Samy etc.
Besides this Kamal Hassan is currently shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life and has also got an untitled movie directed by ace stunt choreographers Anbu and Arivu. Shankar on the other hand has got Ram Charan Starrer Game Changer.
