Actor Harish Kalyan had his last outing in the action thriller movie Diesel crafted by Shanmugam Muthusamy with actors Athulya Ravi, Ananya, and Vinay Rai in the lead roles. The Lubber Pandhu actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming Tamil Telugu bilingual action thriller Dashamakan. Story teller Vineeth Varaprasad, who garnered the attention of audience in his debut flick Lift, has inked and helmed the drama.
Actress Preity Mukundhan of Star fame has teamed up with the actor for the first time in her career. Actor Sathyaraj and Telugu actor Sunil will be seen in prominent roles in the entertainer. The venture has been predominantly shot in and around the neighborhoods of North Chennai. Post production work for the film is currently underway in full swing. The production house has now released the first single from the album on social media.
Taking to his official X handle, actor Harish Kalyan himself dropped a clip from the song along with links to the Tamil & Telugu version of Rap Battle from Dashamakan and wrote, “Koluthi’vudu. Music composer Britto Michael has overseen the musical division of the film. Rappers Smile Tupakeys, MJ Suriya, Mc Rude, VJ V, MC Sandy, & KT have collaborated for the track. Director Vineeth Varaprasad himself has penned lyrics for the number. The song is mixed and mastered by Abin Paul. Dance master Amir has choreographed dance moves for the number.
The lyrical video song has actor Harish Kalyan engaged in a fierce rap battle with a team of fellow rappers. Dashamakan is a popular locality in North Chennai famous for its variety of beef cuisine. The film is said to explore the gritty and violent side of North Chennai while capturing the vibrant local rap culture. On the technical front, cinematographer Karthik Ashokan has worked on the cinematography department of the movie.
Editor G Madan has been roped in to chop and patch the flick. Art director Manimozhian Ramadurai has erected sets for the drama. Action directors Om Prakash and Dinesh Subbarayan have choreographed action blocks for the movie. The project is funded by Vineeth Varaprasad himself under the production label IDAA Productions in association with Swaroop Reddy for the banner house Think Studios.
On the work front, actor Harish Kalyan will next be seen on screens in Nooru Kodi Vaanavil crafted by Sasi in which he will be seen alongside actress Siddhi Idnani. The Parking actor is now busy with a couple of his untitled dramas directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan in which he will be partnering with actors Silambarasan & Kayadu Lohar, and a venture helmed by V Vignarajan.
On the other hand, actress Preity Mukundhan will soon have a release in Tamil in Idhayam Murali helmed by Aakash Baskaran & Senthil Kumar Kesavan in which she has costarred with actors Atharvaa Murali, Fahadh Faasil, & Kayadu Lohar, and in Telugu via Emo Emo Idi scripted by Sailesh Kolanu in which she has romanced actor Roshann Meka. The actress is presently working on her next Tamil film tentatively christened AS 23 crafted by Karthikeyan Ramakrishnan in which she will be joining forces with actor Ashok Selvan, and AGS 28 filmed by Subash K Raj in which she will be starring with actors Arjun & Abhirami.
