Bison Kaalamaadan Is One Of The Most Special Films: Anupama Parameswaran!

Actress Anupama Parameswaran had her last outing in Tamil earlier this year in the coming-of-age film Dragon crafted by Ashwath Marimuthu with actors Pradeep Ranganathan, and Kayadu Lohar in lead roles. The siren actress is now gearing up for yet another release in the upcoming flick titled Bison. Actor Dhruv Vikram, who last entertained audiences in Karthik Subbaraj’s Mahaan, has headlined the project. 

Director Mari Selvaraj, who crafted the remarkable film Pariyerum Perumal, has written and directed the project. Malayalam actress Rajisha Vijayan of Sardar fame has depicted a key role in the project. The entertainer is currently in the post production stage. The makers have already announced that the drama will make it to theaters for Deepavali of this year on 17th of October. 

Actress Anupama Parameswaran recently sat down for an interview with a leading YouTube channel. Speaking about her upcoming film Bison she said, “Bison will be one of the most special and important films in my career. It is a beautiful movie with a powerful story. I think it will be one of Mari sir’s best works. His debut project Pariyerum Perumal had a profound impact on me. In fact, I became his fan after watching it.”

Talking further she revealed, “I was supposed to be part of Pariyerum Perumal. Sadly, I could not take up the role as I had other commitments. Later I deeply regretted that I missed a good opportunity. He then approached me for Maamannan. Even at that time I was busy. So, when he rang me for Bison, I was really thrilled and agreed immediately.” 

Disclosing about her experiences in working in the venture, she stated, “Mari sir has a different working style. For instance, I never did an acting workshop before in my career. But for Bison, I went to the location of the shoot to interact with people there and study their body language and intonations. It was a very delightful and grounding experience. My experiences from the movie have helped me evolve as an actor.” 

Bison is touted to be a sports drama based on Kabbadi inspired by the life of Arjuna award recipient Manathi Ganesan. Apart from Dhruv Vikram, Anupama Parameswaran, and Rajisha Vijayan, the star cast of the drama also has Malayalam actor Lal, Pasupathy, Madhan Dhakshinamoorthy, Aruvi Madhanand, Azhagam Perumal Kalaiyarasan, and Hari Krishnan Anbudurai essaying various supporting roles. 

Music director Nivas K Prasanna has been roped in to score music for the flick. Cinematography Ezhil Arasu K has handled camera gears for the drama. Editor Sakthi Thiru has been trusted with the editing division of the project. Art director Kumar Gangappan has erected sets for the flick. Stunt director Dhilip Subbarayan has choreographed action moves for the film. 

The entertainer is produced by Pa Ranjith under the production company Neelam Studios in association with Sameer Nair, Aditi Anand, and Deepak Seigal for the production house Applause Entertainment. Kathiresan has bagged the theatrical rights of the movie, and will be releasing it in theaters under the banner Five Star Creations. The digital rights of the venture has been purchased by Netflix OTT platform. 

On the professional front, actress Anupama Parameswaran will soon have a release in Telugu cinema in Kishkindhapuri filmed by Koushik Pegallapati in which she has romanced actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, and in Malayalam via Lockdown directed by A R Jeeva in which she has joined forces with actress Abhirami. The Thalli Pogathey actress is presently focused on her future Malayalam venture christened El Clasico crafted by Rosh Rasheed in which she will be seen alongside actor Shane Nigam, Pet Detective directed by Praneesh Vijayan, and a Telugu flick Bhogi helmed by story teller Sampath Nandi in which she will be associating with actors Sharwanand and Dimple Hayathi

On the other hand, actor Dhruv Vikram is working on his next untitled flick helmed by director Ajay Bhupathi. There are also speculations that he will play the lead in the Tamil remake of the superhit Bollywood entertainer Kill helmed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat.
