Actor Atharvaa started this year on a profitable note with R. Kannan’s directorial which had actors Megha Akash, Indhuja Ravichandran, Sathish, RJ Balaji, and Upen Patel in various supporting roles. Following which the actor was seen in the action cop thriller 100 directed by film maker Sam Anton in which he romanced actress Hansika Motwani, the unit recently celebrated their 50 days theoretical run of the film. Now we have an interesting update on the actor’s next venture.
The actor who has delivered two back to back hits will again be teaming up with director R. Kannan for his next project. The yet to be titled flick is said to be a passionate romance drama. Now we have reports that the production unit has roped in Malayalam actress Anupama Parameswaran of Premam fame to romance Atharvaa. According to a source close to the production unit, “Yes, it is true the production unit has brought Anupama Parameswaran on board for the film. An official confirmation on the same will be made soon.”
The duo is set to come together again for a flick after the success of Boomerang and the expectation for the flick is quite high among the audience. Speaking about the untitled project, director R. Kannan says, “Recently, we are bestowed with numerous murder mysteries and thrillers in Tamil cinema, including my films. So I felt that it is time to have a break and make a feel good movie. My next project will focus on issues in family and relationships, while being high on romance. It will be a feel good intense romance story. The shooting for the project will go on floors from 15th of July. We have planned to shoot the project predominantly in and around Chennai, while we will fly either to United States or to Australia for one schedule of shoot. We are planning to wrap the shoot by the end of October and release the venture by the end of this year.”
Touted to be an intense romance drama the flick is said to have actor Atharvaa in the role of a PhD scholar which his romantic pair Anupama Parameswaran will be essaying the role of a Bharathnatyam dancer. The rest of the cast and crew that will be part of the project are expected to be announced soon. Cinematographer Shanmuga Sundaram of 96 fame will be behind the camera for the flick, while Kabilan Vairamuthu will be penning the dialogues for the film.
On the work front, actor Atharvaa has recently wrapped up the shoot for his next movie titled as Valmiki. The actor is currently busy shooting for his next project named Kuruthi Aattam under the directorial of director Sri Ganesh in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Priya Bhavani Shankar of Meeyatha Maan fame, Radhika Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi, and Vatsan Chakravarthy. The actor also has Othaikku Othai awaiting release for a long time now.
On the other hand, director R. Kannan had recently signed a project with comedian turned hero Santhanam. This project is set to go on floors by the end of August.
