Rajmohan Arumugam’s Baba Black Sheep Trailer: Promises To Be A Fun School Life Drama!

It is always a delight to watch entertainers that depict school life. It has been a while since we have had a school life movie. As a means to quench that craving, Tamil cinema will soon have a school life drama in the likes of Baba Black Sheep. Actress Ammu Abhirami of Asuran fame has played the lead role. Actor RJ Vigneshkanth will be seen as one of the leads. YouTube fame Rajmohan Arumugam will be making his debut as a filmmaker with Baba Black Sheep. The movie which went on floors a while back with a small pooja ceremony is now wrapped, and is in the post production stage shaping up for release.

The production team has now released the trailer of the drama on social media. Story teller Rajmohan Arumugam himself has shared the trailer. Taking to his official twitter account, the director dropped a link to the trailer of Baba Black Sheep and wrote, “Fun, frolic and a roller-coaster of emotions. Here is the trailer of Baba Black Sheep. Produced by Romeo Pictures.” Here is the post made by the film maker.

Over two-and-a-half-minute odd trailer cuts open to a school assembly. We witness the students taking pledge. A bunch of boys avoid the word ‘sisters’ in the line ‘All Indians are my brothers and sisters’ by pretending to cough. Following which we get a peppy number with students enjoying themselves by dancing to it. Then we have the voiceover of director Rajmohan Arumugam, “At the mention of school, first of things we reminiscence would be about exams, first love, friendship, fight between students, PT period, exam results. Over all this, the tussle over as to whom the last bench belongs.” The scene then cuts to a group of students fighting over the last bench. There is a scene where the students discuss the last bench. One fellow says, “Last bench belongs to those who score less marks in the exams.” Another fellow mouths, “It goes to those who win the upcoming election.” The trailer then navigates into the serious zone. It ends with a funny quip where a couple of boys google for actress Sunny Leone’s house but the search engine brings up stuff related to Dindigul Leoni. The production house is working to bring the drama to theaters by the end of the month. An official release date is expected to be announced soon.

Apart from actors Ammu Abhirami and RJ Vigneshkanth, the casting department of the drama has veteran actress Abhirami, Abdul Ayaz, Narendra Prasad, Bose Venkat, Madurai Muthu, Suresh Chakravarthi, and Vinodhini Vaidyanathan portraying various other supporting roles.
