Actor Ashok Selvan was last seen on screens in a cameo part in the horror film Estate which hit the theaters under the direction of story teller Karthik Vilvakrish with actors Kalaiyarasan, Sunaina, and Remya Nambeesan in the lead roles. The movie opened to bad reviews from both critics and audience, and left the theaters unnoticed. The actor has now put that behind him, and is now getting ready for the release of his next movie christened Saba Nayagan in which he has essayed the lead part. Debutant film maker C S Karthikeyan, erstwhile assistant of Kamal Hassan has written and directed the flick. Actresses Megha Akash, Karthika Muralidharan, and Chandini Chowdary have played the female lead roles. Now, we have an interesting update on the drama.
The production unit has now unveiled the teaser of the movie on social media. Actor Sivakarthikeyan has shared the teaser. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor shared a poster from the flick along with a link to the teaser of Saba Nayagan and wrote, “Happy to launch the first look teaser of Saba Nayagan. Congrats dear Iyyapan for your production venture I Cinema. One-minute odd short video opens to a voiceover of a woman asking, “Name, school, collage, sport, favorite hero, and girlfriend?” Ashok Selvan responds, “S B Arvind, SVB, SVKC, hockey, superstar, and he keeps mum when asked about girlfriend.” Then we are presented with a few romantic shots of actor Ashok Selvan from his schooling days to his adult life. Following which we have a character saying, “Without a friend’s signature will a love marriage go through?” The teaser has garnered attention of youths in the state, and has engineered high expectations on the drama. It is said that the production unit is working to release the project in the month of May. An official announcement regarding the release date of the drama is expected to be made soon.
Apart from actors Ashok Selvan, Megha Akash, Karthika Muralidharan, and Chandini Chowdary, the casting department of the drama has actors Mayilsamy, Michael Thangadurai, Udumalai Ravi, Arun Kumar, Jaiseelan Sivaram, Sriram Krish, Sherlin Seth, Viviyasanth, Akshaya Hariharan, and Tulasi Shivamani in various other supporting roles. Music director Leon James has composed music for the film. Cinematographers Balasubramaniem, Dinesh Purushothaman, and Prabhu Rhagav have been behind lens for the flick. Editor Ganesh Siva has been brought on board to trim the project. Art director G C Anandhan has erected sets for the venture. Stunt master Billa Jagan has choreographed action moves for the flick. The entertainer is produced by Aravind Jayabalan under the banner label Clear Water Films INC along with Iyyappan Gnanavel under the production company I Cinema, and Captain Megavanan Isaivanan for the banner house Captain Mega Entertainment.
On the work front, actor Ashok Selvan who had his last outing in the horror flick Estate in currently busy shooting for his next film christened Nenjamellam Kaadhal under the direction of story teller Nirman in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Avantika Mishra, and for Jack crafted by film maker Prasanth Pandiyaraj, for Por Thozhil scripted by director Vignesh Raja in which he will be collaborating with actress Nikhila Vimal, and for an untitled venture helmed by Jaikumar in which he will be seen alongside actors Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Prithvi Pandiarajan, and Keerthi Pandian. On the other hand, actress Megha Akash who was last seen on screens in Tamil in the romedy drama Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum is currently busy shooting for her next Tamil drama titled Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir crafted by Venkata Krishna Roghanth in which she will be associating with actor Ragu Aditya, for Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan filmed by Vijay Milton in which she will be co starring with actors Vijay Antony, and Sarath Kumar, for a couple of Telugu dramas Manu Charitra directed by Bharath Pedagani in which she will be collaborating with actor Shiva Kandukuri, and for Production No 1 filmed by Abhimanyu Baddi in which she will be romancing actor Rahul Vijay.
