Actor Santhanam who is currently focusing on doing only leads role in films took a pitfall in the comedy action entertainer Sakka Podu Podu Raja. But the actor returned to the profitable zone with his horror comedy flick Dhilluku Dhuddu 2, the sequel of his super hit project which hit the screens under the directorial of Lollu Sabha fame director Rambhala. After the success of the horror comedy film, the actor began shooting for his next venture A1 (Accused no 1) which is now lined up to hit the screens soon.
Now, we have an interesting update on the project. The Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of A1 has been obtained by 18 Reels production house of S. P. Chowdary. The actor himself has publicized the news on his social media profile. Taking to his twitter handle actor Santhanam shared the news with a picture from the flick under the caption, ‘A1’s Tamil Nadu theatrical distribution rights has been acquired by 18 Reels, the producers of Dagaalty.’ Directed by debutant film maker Johnson K the flick is expected to hit the screens soon.
The flick is set at the backdrop of North Madras and actor Santhanam plays a role of a youngster hailing from that part of the city, while female lead Tara Alisha Berry will depict the role of a girl hailing from agraharam. Though the project is said to have a lot of comical relief, it will not be an out and out comedy entertainer. There are some toughly choreographed stunt sequences in the film. The posters as well as the teaser of the film that hit the social media on Tamil New Year have received a good response from the audience and have upped the anticipation level of the venture.
Apart from actors Santhanam and Tara Alisha Berry the comedy entertainer has, Lollu Sabha Manohar, Yatin Karyekar, Saikumar, M. S. Bhaskar, Mottai Rajendran, and Swaminathan in various other supporting roles. The music for the movie is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. While Gopi Jagadeeswaran was behind the camera for the movie, Leo John Paul will be trimming the comedy entertainer. The motion picture is bankrolled by S. Raj Narayanan under the banner CircleBox Entertainments.
On the work front, actor Santhanam is on the wheels between the sets of multiple assignments. The actor who is currently gearing up for the release of his next action comedy entertainer A1 has an untitled project under the directorial of director Kannan of Ivan Thanthiran fame. Besides this movie the actor has Server Sundaram in his pipeline which is set to be directed by director Anand Balki in which he will be romancing actress Vaibhavi Shandilya. Apart from these projects the actor has Dagaalty which will be directed by Vijay Anand, in which he will be sharing the screen space with comedian Yogi Babu.
